AS Roma vs Inter Milan

If you just look from the outside, yes. But being only -3 from Inter is a big psychological boast for the team and a big blow for the Nerazzurri. I think Roma are good, and so are Palermo, but I think only Inter is the team that can realistically hold on as the season grows longer.

we really struggled in attack without mancini and taddei. we need them healthy. i thought cassetti would have been brought on, as he is more of a winger instead of montella.

montella coming on, took totti out of his position that is playing to his current form. when montella came on it pushed him back and forced him out of the play. montella was average while coming on. he would turn a defender brilliantly then do nothing with it.

our depth is what will kill us. i think we should have gotten a point out of this but in terms of who should have won, inter deserved it and..well got the win.

I see your point, and I think I'd have to agree. Roma's first team can compete with any team out there, but they lack a quality bench to duke it out in both the ECC and the Serie A. Palermo is even in worse shape than Roma, they have a squad that has gelled together nicely, but they don't have any depth to last a whole season at the top.

Inter on the other hand have a bench who can compete as another team and still do well. I think what Moratti wanted to do is challenge for both the ECC and Serie A. Will they win both or even one? No one can give those answers, but if I'd have to guess I think they'd win Serie A again before they win the ECC.

I think at the end of the day it will still be a three team race to the Scudetto, with Roma replacing Juventus as one of the big three.
