I would like to see those 3 player in our team in upcoming season. I really want see Iaquinta in Roma's shirt. He's a good player and we need him. Also I'm sure he will want to sign us because we'll play in CL. :)

Now I want to thank Damiano for those 10 seasons. He always played well and was loyal. Unfortunately he had injuries very often :nape:

Roma executive director Rosella Sensi admits she's disappointed Damiano Tommasi has chosen to move to Spain and sign for Levante.
"I'm disappointed with the choice taken by Damiano," said Sensi. "We had offered him to continue another year as a player and in the future to become a leader, but it looks as though he had other ideas.

"In any case, we wait for him always with open arms. If he had a rethink about playing for us or if he decided to become a director: Roma waits for him."

I'm disappointed too. I just don't get why he had left and sign for Levante. Here he can play in CL and fight about scudetto. But if he changed his mind and wants to come back I'll be very pleased. :)

Udinese owner Gianpaolo Pozzo has ruled out moves for Sulley Muntari and Vincenzo Iaquinta.

Both players impressed at the World Cup finals with Ghana and Italy respectively.

Bolton and Portsmouth have been linked with Muntari with the player previously expressing an interest in playing in England.

Iaquinta's future has been the subject of intense debate for some time with several top Italian sides casting envious eyes towards him.

Pozzo is keen to keep hold of Udinese's top stars and has no plans to sell either Muntari or Iaquinta.

"I can exclude the possibility of a Muntari sale," said Pozzo.

"As for Iaquinta, there are no valid replacements for him in Italy and it will take a foreign player a year to settle."

One of our preference player probably will not sign contract with Roma. :nape:

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti responded with caution to suggestions his side will start this season as one of the favourites to claim the depleted Scudetto.

This summer's unprecedented Serie A match-fixing trial has seen Italian football shaken to its core, with last season's high-flyers Juventus and Milan handed severe penalties.

The Old Lady will start the forthcoming campaign in Serie B, while Milan are handicapped by a 15-point deduction and exclusion from the UEFA Champions League.

The likes of Roma and Internazionale appear best placed to capitalise on the huge upheaval which has also seen the Giallorossi's rivals for a European place last term, Fiorentina and city rivals Lazio, demoted.

"We are aware that we could have a big chance next season and we will do our best," said Spalletti.

"But Inter are ahead of us at the moment, while Palermo and Udinese are also good sides.

"It will be a challenge just to do as well as we did last season."

To that end, Spalletti is determined to bolster his squad further this summer, with the recruitment of striker Mirko Vucinic reported to be his number one objective.

"We will sign a forward," added Spalletti. "Vucinic? He has characteristics like Vincenzo Montella and we need a striker with Vincenzo Iaquinta's characteristics.

"But I do like the Serbia & Montenegro player."

Seems I'm talking to myself :nape:

Yes, I am :) ^^

Juventus may be forced into selling David Trezeguet to Roma.
New coach Didier Deschamps had been hoping to keep hold of Trezeguet or loan him out as a last resort.
However, he may have to rethink his plans with Roma reportedly preparing an audacious €20 million (£13.7 million) offer for the 28-year-old.

Would be great if he will sign for Roma because we need some classy players like Trezeguet.

This is Roma's best line up IMO :

Doni

Ferrari-Mexes-Chivu

De Rossi-Perotta

Mancini----Taddei----Aquilani

Totti

(Striker)

Trezeguet would be ideal. But for Serie A's sake, I hope you guys a class player from another league. Maybe Jan Klass Huntelaar. Someone along those lines.

On present day impossible is get Huntelaar. Ajax will not let him go in next few seasons because he's one of the key players. Now I keep my fingers crossed for Trezeguet's transfer to us. :)

we just need a center forward and bad. trezeguet would have to top the list for me. his numbers speak for themselves. i also heard rumours of andrea carraciolo who has impressed me over the last 2 seasons.

seems like spalletti is comfortable with montella. although it is probably unlikely he will not be injured. we need depth at the forward position. something we didnt have last year.

Senior Squad
we have class player for every position

just need a good forward

RVN or something like that... Toni would be perfect

Tosiek

Słowiańska Dusza
Toni would be a good choice. But I don't get why we do not give a chance Mido?! He's a good player IMO and I would be very pleased seeing him playing for us regularly. If we will not so lucky and don't get Toni or RVN I'm still thinking we can get one of those three players Iaquinta, Vucinic or Caracciolo.

We don't need Klose so let he stay there where he is. (6)

Lens have confirmed they are in negotiations for the sale of World Cup finalist Alou Diarra, with Roma looking the likeliest to win his signature.

The 25-year-old midfielder has become club captain at the Stade Felix-Bollaert since moving from Liverpool in the summer of 2004.

Marseille had offered a swap deal with striker Peguy Luyindula for the player, but it now seems that Roma are in the driving seat.

Lens director of sport Francis Collado has confirmed the interest, but insists a deal remains some way off.

"There has been contact with clubs from abroad, but nothing has been decided yet," Collado told the club's website.

Diarra's agent has already revealed initial contact from Stadio Olimpico officials, who have offered him a five-year deal.

But without an agreement between Roma and the Ligue 1 outfit, Diarra will be going nowhere.

A fee of around €6 million (£4.1 million) should be enough to win them over, but Marseille could well renew their interests should the deal fail.

Not sure if we need another midfielder but rivalry can be useful in the team.

I think Roma is gonna rock this season. If they get a good striker and some good backups in the midfield, they could wel be in the running for the scudetto. CL place is a must. The team has shown great form in the second round last season and I expect that will continue on the same road this season.

Hey folks...

Despite watching Serie A occasionally for some time I never really attached to a team in Italy; however I always had a soft spot for Roma. The brillant color combination, the rivalry with Lazio, that sort of underdog charm in contrast to the far-north rivals...In some ways the club represents a bit of what Serie A has missed these days. So I want to announce I'm joining forces with your legions from this point on. Next scudetto will be painted on Giallorossi :rockman: .

(Now where I deposit the admission fee :p?)
