the utd fans did act bad but still u see the old guy on the bottom of the screen trying to get away from the violence when he trips and then next thing u know it a police is hitting him, thats messed. Both fans were at fault , u cant pin this at Roma .

I wonder what he was doing there. Saying hello?

He got the **** kicked out and deserved it.

You can whinge about harsh police tactics how much you want, but without hooliganism in the first place you wouldn't see scenes like these.

If you ask me the British know exactly how to deal with hooliganism. It's non-existant in the Premiership. The police over-reacted and even hit people when they were down, hit people who held their hands up trying to get them to stop. No excuses. If this happened at Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge or Anfield, Uefa would have banned English teams from Europe for years.

Now think twice before infecting us with your crap.

To me it looks like the Man U fans where attacking themselves. Or where they simply sitting with a cup of tea being nice and polite?

Italian police have a history of being rough for a reason. They have to deal with this **** week in week out. Man U fans knew that and got their asses kicked.

They will limp back to nanny-state England and act like the victims for a week. And at the next game they'll be their own selves again: drunken, violent and idiotic.

Italian fans are just as idiotic, only wiser when it comes to dealing with the Italian police. But there still is trouble.

My opinion is that Man U fans deserved the beating as any football hooligan deserves to be beat. The Italian police did he right thing and should continue to deal with hooliganism as they do.
I don't think you should be discussing and comparing. The security level in the English game and English venues is clearly miles above Italian games/venues, classes above. You can't say your scandalous footballing society is not at fault.

Help?

Yeah, you never see that kind of thing happening in english stadiums and they also don't need to have a whole empty section of seats to separate the fans. Its all about the reputation that the english fans got and yet i don't see any fenced stadiums on the field, fans invading the pitch (Roma and Totti should know all about it from a few years back) and stadiums getting damaged due to crowd violence. You wonna know violent fans, then look at Argentinian club level, not English.

Italian football ought to be suspended and reflect on what shame they have brought to the game. Yes, harsh words, but true.

1. Match fixing
2. Serie A riots which resulted by a death, followed by a lame short break
3. and now this.

The Italian football governing body better address this. UEFA and FIFA will never have the balls to deal with this. If it was other countries, they would probably be kicked out of European competitions immediately.

Shut your pie hole man. You know nothing. No one deserves to get beaten like that. Yea they shouldnt have ran across. But how many times did the police man wack the same guy??? The only hooligans here are the police and Roma scum. I dont respect Roma anymore. That leaves a bad taste. How can you condone those actions???? English fans are better behaved than Roma fans you clown. ANd they tried to cover the fact Saha got racially abused by some clowns in the crowd. Roma are sh*t and Totti is a diver. Simple as mate. Italian police and fans are a disgrace!

Oh please its not as if you were locked in a cage like in France. Police brutality is everywhere man not just in Roma and they did try a whole lot to make sure there was no trouble after the game aswell. I applaud Roma for atleast making the effort and recognizing the problems that can come with out of country away fans.

And seriously you guys could have had it alot worse, don't expect a police officer to not beat you silly when you try to do something he told you not to do. Had the fan just listened and not tryed to cross over in the first place he would have been fine. These fans should know better espescially after what happened during Cantania vs Palermo.

What are you going on about?
Don't even post if you spew ****e out of your mouth.

The Roma fans were watched over by stewards while the Man United fans were kept-an-eye-on by Italian riot police. How is that just?

The score should have been 3-1 or 2-0, but it's good anyway. Hope we can get a draw at Old Trafford.

Roman policemen. Showing Man U football fans who's the boss! :bouncy:

I´m sure United will show you who the "real boss" (wtf?) is, at OT.
And we won´t even need pigs in full riot gear beating a man laying down to do so.

I saw it yesterday and it was ugly, its more the Roman policemen over-reacting than hooliganism for me. I don't think the club(AS Roma) has anything to do with this, its a case of the Roman police being paranoia because of what happened in the past... UEFA should do something about those cops....

Why is it so important to talk about policemen? Can we talk about the match thanks?:nape:
I've seen the images, they've destroyed 2 guys of ManU, but I don't know what happened after the 1st Roma goal in the zone of ManU fans, Policemen in Italy are a little bastard, they shot everybody they meet, it's this way since 60 years, when I was young I've seen a boy destroyed by them only cause he entered the field after a great goal of Bruno Conti, so I could think that when Roma plays the policemen are choosen into Lazio supporters.....(H)

WTF? There was no hooliganism. Did you not see the images of a teenage girls being cracked over the head by the police u daft prick. And obviosly Italian fans would be 'wiser' at dealing with Italian police, there ****in Italian.

Where do you get the idea from that the english sit around drinking tea, England is a rough place you know, especially London, Birmingham and Manchester. 'Nanny-state', you must be ****in jokin. You wouldn't know anything about ****in hooliganism.

When these Italians get to Manchester next week, they will be the one's gettin ****ed up, without police doing the job for them. United will just beat them up, not throw bottles of piss over the ****in barrier's. Can't ****in wait til tuesday now, I'll be ****in ther aswel.
