Alright..... I've said it before and i'll say it again.
Remember when Fifa first came out??
Remember what they used to kick around in the game?
IT WAS A FOOTBALL
When Konami came out with the game did anyone say WTF!! there copying EA They are using a football!!
Of Course Not
Why???
Because the football belongs to the sport.
Its not called copying!
They are releasing a similar item. Konami took some stuff from Fifas game and vice versa. Its all the same sport a lot of its going to be the same, but interpreted differently.

Thats BullSh*t ! [ishan1990] Please go home and do some research before you open your mouth. Konami released their first soccer game way way earlier than EA. The first EA sports - FIFA soccer game is released in 1994 some people may call it FIFA95. IN the same year(1994), Konami released ISS2 (International Superstar Soccer 2). MIND you, that is already the SECOND version.
Lets just do a little history review!
Whats already in ISS2:
- Referee and Linesman
- Radar
- Dynamic crowd
- Accelerate run
- Different hairstyles
- Players name & number with a decent interface
- Unpredictable gameplay
Whats in FIFA95:
- 11 players for each side
- Poor interface
- Green pitch
- Poor AI
- Scripted gameplay (TM) by EA (Why and What are Scripted??)
>>> The corner kick system. You only can select one of your player to recevie the corner kick.
>>> Guaranteed goal when you shoot from outside the penalty box at 45' degree.
>>> Your player can stand right infont of the opponent's goalkeeper, and the goalkeeper's freekick will hit on you then you can immediately score.
>>> 40 - 50 yards Guided missile.
That is NOT true to say FIFA released earlier than WE. Keep in mind, Konami just changed the name to WE/PES in these few years. Please stop giving Wrong information, It tells us you must be a kid or just start your console/computer gaming experience in this TWO years!
Here is the screenshot for ISS2 and FIFA95 in Super Nintendo back in 1994 ~!!

Someone mentioned that EA copied features from Konami, fair enough but what features did Konami "copy" from EA? Bad gameplay? I think not.

Each game attempts to replicate the game of soccer/football...both in aesthetics and the actual game itself as its played on the field. One game or one company does it better than the other. No game is stealing anything from another I have not seen anything to believe thats true.
What I do see is More innovation from one game over the years than the other and that give Konami's soccer game the edge. If any game should be accused of stealing something its stealing ideas from the actual game of footbal ...which is the whole point of creating a football video game to begin with.
I think Konami copied the "free cam" mode durin` replay. Replays with "Free Cam" has always been EA`s trademark since FIFA 95. But then again for some brilliant dumb reason they took it away in FIFA 2003 with the training mode . . .Originally posted by PhiLLer
