AS.com - Manchester United's Sir Alex Ferguson wants Real Madrid's Casillas

Casillas won't go, I really doubt it will happen. There's too much to adjust to at Manchester United for him. It would be a very stupid move for him to go.

Personally I'm starting to think that Spanish/English player swaps are becoming bad. At Liverpool I'm not sure how they are progressing but Hierro and that curly haired guy at Bolton. I don't know I just don't see the chemistry in the transfers. Maybe it's just me.

i don't think it would be a stupid move for him...manu is a top class team, just like real madrid

It wont happen unless Real go for someone like Buffon IMO.

Fergie probably wants Raul too but this is just as unlikely.

I think Casillas has it pretty good at Real so why would he want to leave??

He's young and plays well. No point in leaving a club where you are guarnteed to win trophies pretty much every year.

what a waste of talent that would be:o this is one of those deal that has 0.000001%-0% chance of happening. it's like Milan selling Nesta or Shevchenko-unless they go totally bankrupt it ain't happening

Casillas is undoubtedly a world class GK and of coz i would like to see him in United...but it is better to give a chance to Howard...

The point to get him is bcoz he's a proven world class goalkeeper. Though it's a pity for Howard.

If Real Madrid's defence does not get its act together in the forseeable future, then I don't think a move can be ruled out. But as usual, do take these articles with a pinch of salt.

Ferguson should buy Sébastien Frey from Parma, he's young and excellent, and I think he's cheap because his team wants money. Casillas is good, but I don't think Real wants him to leave.

Iker has been with the club since he was 8 years old.

He's won every single trophy ever possible at club level, both in the first team and in the junior ranks(La Cantera). Keep in mind he's only 23, and I think all the glory, championships and hometown admiration for Casillas in Madrid will make him stay here for a long time.
