Referee: Mark Clattenburg (Tyne & Wear)

Arsenal (from): Lehmann, Hoyte, Toure, Gallas, Clichy, Fabregas, Gilberto, Hleb, Henry, van Persie, Almunia, Djourou, Senderos, Eboue, Song, Flamini, Walcott, Aliadiere, Adebayor.

Team News

Arsenal's midfielder Tomas Rosicky could be out for two weeks after suffering a hamstring injury.

Keeper Manuel Almunia has recovered from concussion to take his place on the bench, but Freddie Ljungberg and Julio Baptista are still not match fit.

Mohamed Sissoko's injury lay-off leaves Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez with a dilemma in central midfield.

Steven Gerrard could move infield, allowing Jermaine Pennant to step in on the right wing against his former club.

Pretty important match for both clubs.

Arsenal win, IMO. There's a chance that Arsenal will put in several goals if Pool find it hard to cope with Sissoko's absence, but Arsenal really have few players who actually finish. They mostly build up an attack until someone has a clear shot, which leads me to believe that Henry'll be the only scorer tomorrow. I can't see Pool winning, but they might scrape a goalless tie. Either that or a lucky win like West Ham managed.

Our only chance is a Liverpool OG.

Gallas has to play left back.

Eboue - Toure - Senderos/Djourou - Gallas

Crouch and Kuyt will be all over us if we don't have Senderos or Djourou to beat them in the air.

crouch? does he even start for 'pool these days?, i normally see him on the bench for 'pool and in the starting line-up for england. (C)

Well, clearly the solution to Arsenal's goalscoring troubles is to bench Henry and van Persie and play Kolo and Flamini as our strikers. :D

Liverpool were terrible. Didn't give the forwards anything to work with.

Gerrard on the right is as bad an idea as Almunia up front.

Kolo scoring (H), he couldn't beleive it.

Ah, I was just wondering as Clichy was left back. Kind of used to seeing Flamini at left back! :p
