Arsenal wasnt trying? you mean PSV.. It was a tedious game but im happy with the result, at least it didnt turn out like the roma and ajax games we had at home a while back. Our defenders need to concentrate on the game more regardless of how little action they see. Cole and Bergkamp were especially disappointing.

OK so I saw this game a little later so here's what I thought about it..
First half was actually quite good by Arsenal, they weren't exactly running circles around PSV but made quite a few good moves, scoring one and having one disallowed. As for the second half, it was boring. The Gunners were not really themselves and PSV started pushing forward little by little, but the result and the performance were just fine by me, keeping a clean sheet and winning by one is no worry knowing just how good Arsenal can be.
Pires was on the right and Reyes on the left, it could just as well have been the other way round, or maybe they could switch flanks to create some difficulty for the defence. I'm not sure whether Reyes has ever really played on the right but he is definitely capable of it I think.
