Arsenal will be this year's Liverpool of 2010. I'll be shocked if you guys have a better record than Liverpool did before the winter break last season.

Clichy was known for a week or two. When I first heard about it there was pretty rampant speculation that Arsenal would be buying Jose Enrique from Newcastle, which I think everyone can agree is a huge upgrade. Would have been cool to see a Spain International playing for Newcastle though.

There's nothing arrogant or stupid in what Scholes said. What he said is a true fact. Arsenal try to play beautiful and win 0 titles in 7 years as a consequence. Fact. Not all team can play this kind of football and win.

That's the stupidity of yours and Scholes point of view. Arsenal haven't won a title in 7 years because Wenger refuses to invest money to add depth and experience to his side, not because of the football they try to play. If Arsenal played the last 7 years a 4-4-2 and focus more on keeping a clean sheet like United, they would have still won 0 trophies because of their depth and expercience on the pitch.

It is stupid of you and Scholes to say Arsenal's style of play is why they haven't won. I was saying beautiful football can win titles ex: Barca/Porto, and also massacre teams like United

In part yes. If you compare the 2 teams, Arsenal has more quality in midfield compared to United. But why are they not winning things? Their football style is sometimes too "soft" for the EPL. Lack of depth and bad defense also plays a big part.

I agree with Scholes that part of the reason Arsenal is not winning things is their football style. Only a few teams can play this kind of football and win. Barcelona is an exception because they have a gifted world cup winning team.

So anyway, looks like Nasri and Cesc will leave this week and bring in about 50m GBP. I think you need to splash for a superstar (I'm talking like Pastore), and then get your ******* defense sorted with Cahill at least, and maybe Samba if he's for sale. I think you could be better. In a way, the Cesc era has failed at Arsenal. I know he's young, but Cesc took over for the successful invicibles/Henry era, and he hasn't got it done and I'm not sure if he ever will. Enter the Wilshere era (with another superstar from all the cash).

for GK can't tell you because De Gea has not played yet. Defense, United are better and in attack I'd say we're equal. Arsenal's midfield is way better for sure. Wilshere, Cesc and Nasri are all you could ask for.

Ok, that's not bad, if you look that Gervinho will probably join Arsenal.
I agree with ShiftyPowers that we should get in "Wilshere era", and with quality buyings get one, maybe two, world class players who could lead Arsenal to the top.
