Coyle wants Vela on loan, if he can do what he's done with Wilshere and Elmander to Carlitos then we could have a really good deal on our hands.

0-0 vs. Citeh, useless result, but I'm really liking the look of our starting XI. Song and Wilshere in the middle coupled with the Cesc and Nasri combo should overpower each EPL team. Pretty unlucky today (woodwork and penalty shout) and Citeh seemed satisfied with 0-0 - all that money but no ambition to back it up.

This season I watched many matches of the Gunners, kind yesterday, u deserved to win and u play very well, but City played 95 minutes on defence, strange for a similar team and shame for Arsenal, hope u can fight for the title this year but Man UTD is very very strong! The best to me Wilshere, 19 years old, great guy, then Song, Robin v.Persie, but u miss a "killer" kind has been Titi Henry some years ago, Chamakh is good but not a killer, Walcott, Arshavin, Rosicky, u miss a real center striker.....Let's go Gunners!!!!!:).....boring boring citizens:innocent_smile_1:

I agree. The biggest mistake of his life was leaving Arsenal. Arsene Wenger made him a superstar.

Without Wenger, Thierry Henry would be nothing. Without the Arsenal way, he's proven to be nothing short of useless.

Same for Adebayor.

He wasn't really that good during his last season with Arsenal anyway, I remember many Arsenal fans being frustrated with him. With the exception of last season I didn't think he was that useless at Barça. IIRC in 2007-08 he was the top scorer in the team and he was quite good in the treble team. Adebayor on the other hand...the less said the better.

Game at West Ham tomorrow, our performances in the last two games have been woeful especially the displays from Bendtner, Arshavin and Eboué. Fabianski is out so Woj will get his second PL game meaning James Shea or someone like that is on the bench. Expect to see something like this:

Sczzznzy; Eboué, Djourou, Koscielny, Clichy; Song, Cesc, Wilshere; Walcott, RVP or Chamakh, Nasri

He had a fantastic season with Barcelona when they won the triplete. He's just old and has lost his touch.

Adebayor is inconsistent. Even at Arsenal he had great spells and terrible ones.

At Barcelona he was just one of the many good players who were brought in to that squad. He had less to do in every game he played. He had ABSOLUTELY no pressure on him to be his best. He knew that his misses would be converted by someone else. He knew that he did not have to win the game for his team. He knew that he just had to avoid making mistakes.

At Arsenal, he had to deliver game winning performances in EVERY SINGLE GAME. And he did just that. At Arsenal, he had to be his team's inspiration. And he did that. At Arsenal, he had to carry his team through the full 90 minutes.

Without Arsenal, Thierry Henry would have just been another player. Arsenal made him a superstar. Barcelona forced him to be a player who was only slightly better than average. He was not great at Barcelona. Barcelona won their titles because of Messi/Ronaldinho, Xavi, Eto'o and Iniesta. Henry only did 2 things at Barca: pass the ball to all those players and tap in their misses. That would have never worked at Arsenal.

You people need to quit denying the truth.

You need to quit acting like you watched Henry at Barcelona. That is not how he played, and Ronaldinho was gone before the triplete.

Henry benefited from a lot of great passing at Barcelona, but he did at Arsenal too. Don't act like he wasn't surrounded by talent at Arsenal.

oh really? How about his 26 goals in 42 matches in his second season?

And people maybe don't know but in a very bad season, 07-08, with Iniesta and Messi mostly injured, with Ronnie, Eto'o and Deco in very bad form, Henry scored 19 goalsfor Barça!

So no! He is a very important player in our recent history ;)

Indeed, His Holy Awesomeness Pep Guardiola I (pbuh) has been the single most influential person in Henry career. Before 2008 Henry's career had a trajectory similar to that of Festus Agu, until Pep did every within his divine powers to ensure Henry would live amongst such all time greats such as Alex Hleb, Jesper Blomqvist and Ronny Johnsen. Praise him.

Oh yeah we beat West Ham 3-0. Good stuff.
