Someone said it on Twitter and I agree: this isn't really a transfer at a position of need, but Ozil is just so good and such a special player that it's impossible to pass up when he's available. He's the best 10 in England immediately.

I love it. It'd be great if Flamini was in good shape this season so he could jump in and hold it in tougher matches. They still should have got a top DM though.

Yeah i can't understand why Arsenal didn't go for another DM after Gustavo signed for Wolfburg, there are plenty of good ones for Arsenal and not that expensive. Also Mario Gómez would have been a good signing.

Yeah all in all it was still poor transfer window by Wenger, but man Özil is mouth watering.

Özil should have been the icing on the cake to a good transfer window. And it wasn't even that though. couple of CBs, anchor man and a CF. Papadopoulos, Sakho, Balanta, Mangala, Garay, Capoue, Fernando or Mario Gómez were good names and realistic transfers IMO.

Well the rumour is that Levy intentionally delayed the Bale transfer to minimize the time Arsenal would have to make bids for Real players and so that Arsenal would not have new stars for the Arsenal vs Tottenham game, but in the end Arsenal won the match and still bought the best Real Madrid player that was realistically available.
