The Spanish ambassador to the United Nations, Inocencio Arias, a well-known Madrid supporter and ex-general manager of the club said last wednesday talking about Beckham:
"there will be the paradox of which what King Felipe II could not obtain because of the British, that is that the sun didn't set on its empire, now is going to be obtained by Real Madrid thanks to a Briton"
Just a little taste of their arrogance with this ironic words.
Sad that Spain is represented in UN for this diplomat, if he can be called diplomat. If I was english I wouldn't like his works ...
