It is called the "EA SPORTS Freestyle Controller".
It is advertized together with NBA 2004, but it looks really good for FIFA too, since the motion pad has four keys, like on the keyboard, so you can't get the movement wrong, like with all the usuall round D-pads.

here is a pic:

Anyone know where can it be purchased ?.

...so whats the difference between this and a normal PS2 controller then?
Hopefully, nothing.
Yes, it is for the PC. The problem with the PS2 gamepad is that it doesn't work well with all PC games (using the converter).
I really tried a lot of gamepads, and came to the conclusions that round D-pads are not for me, since a lot of times during the games, when I want to press up or down, I accidentally press up-left or down-right (etc.). This lack of total control drives me crazy at times. It never happens to me with the keyboard, or with a gamepad with four movement keys like the PS2.

Up to this day, I knew of NO decent gamepad for the PC (ie. comfortable with two analog sticks), which also has four keys for moevement (instead of the round D-Pad). I think this EA one is the first ever. They surely knew what they were doing.

If only I knew where to get it... (is it possible it comes with their games ?).
