Guys...In my opinion 05 is EXACTLY the same as 04!...I mean...

- Corners are exactly the same...

- Free kicks are Exactly the same

- Instant Replays/Replays are exactly the same.

- Gameplay is EXACTLY the same

- Power up meter is exactly the same

- Menus is exactly the same

I havn't started career mode yet but FFS it better be good!

The gameplay is much better than 2004 where the Ai never shot from outside never crossed for a header never did any tricks. The keeper animations are also much better and when you shoot the ball actually goes to different parts of the goal unlike 2004 where it was allways low and to the side net.

Except this year almost all the goals are scored from headers. And I haven't seen the CPU take a shot from outside the box.

Rest of the game is pretty good. Playing defense is a bit tough but the CPU offense is uncreative that renders most games boring.

I hired it out and in the first match I was scoring goals from outside the area, every goal was the same....and it was the same in 03 and 04

I don't know what everyone is talking about that it's the same. I find the engine better from '04.

Why is it when I choose attacking mindset, my midfielders still line up as neutral and never come forward. I have 3-5-2 selected and when I'm in the attacking third, i have only my strikers, surrounded by about 7 defenders with none of my midfielders present.

why is it the "off the ball" runs are different depending on who has the ball, forcing you the player to have to take a couple seconds to figure out which receiver you will hit, rather than it be second nature (as in '04). This causes you to lose the ball.

Why is it the AI doesnt let your team mark the attackers, whereas your attackers cant go 5 feet without being swarmed?


EA gets a 3/10 so far. we'll see in a few weeks after i get used to it.

the defenders and midfield sit too deep for some strange reason. there seems to be no way of changing this.

I agree about all but the gameplay. It's pretty improved but still not that good and the players seems to resist your controlling of them in a way.

Only the menus themselves made me feel I was back to Fifa 2004 when playing the game for the first time. Donät you agree?
