Anybodu with GeForce 4, please???

Well, first of all, sorry because of my english...
It took few monts to make PES3 running like a bullet on my macine, always 60 fps, but only in 800x600, window mode, 16-bit color and low details, but it is so GREAT tu play this amazing game even on this settings...
Then I read on some forums that the PES4 is more optimized than the PES3, I have it now, but it's so sad experience...
I can not play it even in 640x480, low details, frame rate is going down to 30-45 fps, just sometimes 60 fps.. I'm so dissapointed...
Is there anything I can do????
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!
By the way, my specs are:
AMD Athlon XP 2000+
256MB DDR RAM,
GeForce4 MX440,
Windows XP and
nVIDIA drivers 66.93..

Just don't tell me to buy a new GFX card, beacause when you live in a country in which you work 25 days in a month to earn approx. 100-150 EUROs, it's so hard to by a food only, and the GFX card like GF 5700 or better is just a dream... PLEASE, help...

I have a GF4 TI4200 128Mb

in a rig with a P4 2Ghz - 1Gb DDR - 80Gb HD XP Home..


If I go above 800x600 I get frame skipping the players look like there shimmering and shaking and the ball moves oddly..

I also get this if I go above MED grahpics, but it runs well at 800x600 MED. Above MED with 800x600 and as I get what I discribed above same if I try to go high with the res, even if I put the graphic setting down to LOW.


Yet with the same RIG I can run PES3 on HIGH and at 1280x1024 and its smooth ..


guess Konami did something or more like DIDN't do something with the settings on PES4?

I got a GeForce 4 Ti 4600 and the only way I can get PRO4 to run smooth is by putting my desktop to 60hz, its the only way.

ZERO chances for 60 fps on gf4mx, would be cool if we could play each new game smoothly using not supported cards...if you have 35 fps on your card you should be happy, some ppl can't even get 15

with my gf4 ti4400 i play at 1280 with no slowdown at 60 fps...



i have also another pc with same cpu and ram as above (xp3000+ 1Gh RAM DDR 433) but with an ati radeon 9600 PRO 256MB and i can see a loss of 10-15 fps in some wide action (in replay only)


ah and i always have refresh rate at 85Hz coz i love my eyes

What country do you live in, start a fund to raise you some money for a card. i have a gerforce 5700xt 256mb for £50 if you can get some donations.

I think the MX series cards were just designed for image processing such as Photoshop. They have a very low core and memory clock and they lack vertex and pixel shaders. MX cards have always got pretty low scores in benchmarks compared to others.

I know it's a bad GFX card, but I read on this forum and few others that other people PLAY PES4 on GF4 MX440, in 800x600 ?? Is this a magic or what?? I don't understand, the same configuration as mine, and it works perfectly...

Do a search using this subject line "How To Fix The Slow Motion In PES 3 - Here!" There's a lot of suggestions in this thread for getting PES3 to run normally. I think they should apply to PES4 as well.

1) Download the rivatuner utility from nvidia
2) Try using different drivers for your card. The latest probably won't be the best-maybe the 28xx or 41xx series.
3) If you can invest in some more RAM

Adding ram is useless......I t still remain the same.

Well, offcourse first I tried Riva Tuner and 3D analyzer to make game working properly, and the older drivers offcourse, but still nothing...

I guess it was worth a try. I haven't played PES4/WE8I yet since I'm waiting until it arrives here in the states. I imagine the game is another port meaning that it requires even more computer/graphics horsepower than a game written with the PC in mind.

Hopefully someone else has some more suggestions but I suspect that old hardware is going to prevent you from playing the game properly.

Well, still nothing!! I tried 3D Analyzer by Tommti, offcourse Riva Tuner, even GeForce tweak utility but no better gameplay. I don't know what to do anymore. Buying new GFX card? Just a dream in this country If somebody will send me as a gift some GF4 TI or simmilar???
I don't understand. When I run the game in 1024x768, framerate is 30-40 fps, but, as I posted earlier, at 640x480 frame rate is sometimes 60 fps, but it's going down to 30 fps anyway. Shouldn't this game work better in lower resolution???????
So, 1024x768 - 30-45 fps, 800x600 30-55 fps, 720x480 - 30-60 fps, 640x480 - 30-60 fps, but in each res it is sometimes 30 fps, very ugly!!!! I simple don't understand.
Again my specs: AMD XP 2000+, 256 MB DDR, MB ECS K7VTA3 - is this problem??? and offcourse GFX Ge Force 4 MX 440, DEFAULT 275 MHz core, 332 MHz memory clock, nVidia 66.93 WHQL.

Well I am back to having a ****ed up game, I got my old 4200 back and now the game runs like ****..

It runs smooth with vsync off, but I get those choppy lines and my screen just ****s up constantly, even on 60 hertz.

The only way to play the game is to have those lines, I have tried everything that I can think of, but nothing works..

It was perfect with my old 4600 but had to revert back to the 4200 as the 4600 had big problems with most games..

Does anyone else have this same problem?

WE8:I for the PC runs a lot smoother. I put it on my friends laptop earlier tonight which basically couldn't run PES4 at all. It managed to play PES3 barely last year and WE7:I was just about playable on it. WE8:I ran pretty well on it though even on 800*600 at low detail which was great considering his laptop has a crappy graphics card and only has a 1.2ghz processor.

Yea I was reading, now my game crashes while I make a sub so its time for a change..

Out of all the hundreds of games I have played, none have giving me so much **** as much as PRO4, same goes for the online mode, worst I have ever seen..

When is this WE8:I out for the PC?..
