Any way to select more than 8 teams in a competition?

Pretty self-explanatory...is there a way to override the 8 team limit when playing tournaments?

not that i know of, i would hope future FIFAs would let us have more human user controlled teams, but it doesnt appear to be happening anytime soon

A really wild stab in the dark, which I've not tried and don't even know if it is possible, but you could try increasing the number of entries in the team_manager 'segment' in FIFA.DB (with DB Master, perhaps??). The eight player restriction arises because there are only eight 'slots' in team_manager, which then get copied to the tournament data and populated with each player controlled team. One possible 'fly in the ointment' would be if the area in the tournament file didn't increase to accommodate the extended entries, but the only way to find out would be to try it, I guess.

I've got to ask the obvious question though - how on earth are you going to entertain more than eight people for a tournament, given that only two can be playing at a time??

we do it we have these big tournament nights with the multi tap we play 2 on 2 and we all pick a team each and chose a partner to help out before each game

well I just tried creating one with 2 extra slots using DB master and yep you guested it it crashes the game as soon as you to start tournament

so it looks like it just isnt possible to do

Sorry Ad. It was worth a try but obviously whoever coded that bit of logic didn't cater for the number of entries in team_manager being changed, which is poor programming but no great surprise.
