Like you I was espected this FIFA like nothing else. Sience the demo arrived I have over 15-20 hours playing experience. For me, 08 was a total disaster and now, I have to admit: I'm stuck with 07 for another year. This is the EA best try, but is a certitude: the canadian guys know NOTHING about football. Let me tell you why:
-the defence have the same stupid reaction.
-the ball have a SF movement like a drunken baloon.
-the shooting is lame. It makes me cry when I see how top scorers send the ball not over the post, but over the stadium. For this canadian guys force=altitude.
-the wing play is allmost lame because in some point, your player is never gets to the ball. Your "sprint" control is not working anymore, and the player starts to desperatly "swim" in the same spot like running on ice.
-the keeper have the same reaction, doing nothing no matter how big is the danger.
-the cross is something fantastic: the ball goes for the sky and finally is arrive somewhere. Canada! Hello! This is Football not volleyball!

I know, is looking much better now, the movement of the players is changed. Thats all? If the 08 was a Benny Hill Show, this is what? Monty Payton?

Is easy to be blinded by something new, but is not close to reality. The 07 was close, but instead of improvement we get stupidity. Now, the canadian guys worked, is diferent then 07 or 08. But is lame, not realistic, not soccer, not nothing. Is a pinball with soccer looks.

Im gonna have to half agree with most the issues you addressed. EA need to strip down the current AI engine and start from the ground up.

Watch a few football matches from across the globe and you'll see that every style of the beautiful game is noting like FIFA games.

But then again EA are hinging on the fact we buy these games for the licenses rather then god forbid, game play.

Yeah! I espected the wise guru to tell me i don't know how to play. Is not the game! The player run on ice because I don't know how to play.

I know the conditions to have a good strike: the player must be in the libra sign, the Jupiter must be 30 degrees against his axe, and the sun must have a good atitude in his coordination with the moon. The ball must have atleast 3 corners and the number of the children in the stands must be exactly 234,56. Yeah! I heard that before!

Ok, mister fantastic, go play your crapy Fifa now, but first close the other game you're playing, The sims - Let's play curling -expansion pack.

-The difficulty is SEMI PRO...
-The ball moves great, maybe you don't watch football at all...
-The shooting is the easiest since 06 I think, probably you just can't play. I score from almost everywhere.
-Your player GETS to the ball if you PASS it to him, or if you call for it in Be a Pro. Sprint? Well, exactly this is reality. You can't sprint without stopping, or you probably never played any sport...
-The keepers are poor, but that's SEMI PRO...
-The crossing is realistic, maybe you play another game.

Your points are not right at all... And I told you something for each and every one of them. You should sort yourself out, mate. Cause that's football, and you'll realize it if you ever played it, or watched it. Demo Expanders never give you the real feeling about the difficulty.

First of all. this is my opinion. If there is other point of view, ok, but if you write here to tell me i can do this or that, is not ok. Sience I'm on this forum, i know the game. Like everybody here. And, when a guy tell me that is smart and i am stupid you tell me i'm off? For example, Ultra_Blue put his opinion here with the same air: You play another game, you don't know how to play etc. What to understand? If you like the game, ok, if you don't, your stupid. This is ideea about free opinion?

Crswind is a well respected member here at the forums and you insulted him with your 'sims' crack and called him and I quote 'mister fantastic'

ok fair enough personally I like the game although it's a pity that the gameplay hasn't changed that much compairing to Fifa08. They've clearly paid a lot of attention to the graphics this time in every way (veins on the arms, hair, face expressions, ball, pitch) but not as much to the gameplay.
Other than that I really like the game and IMO it's much better than Fifa08.

No one called you stupid. Of course you can have your free opinions, but what you told was wrong, it is easy to have a shot ON TARGET, just have to learn how.

And i don't play with Sims either.:D

looks like another noob who sucks at fifa and is crying/whining and b!itching and blamign the game for his lack of skill grow up don't blame the game if you suck.

fifa 09 is 10000000000 times better than fifa 08 much more realistic.

only problem right now is defending kidna of retarded atm but its only a demo final game will be alot better.

just like the fifa 08 was hideous and the final game was much better

Why do people just say 'learn to play with it' instead of considering the points raised? Of course you can learn to play with it. But it doesnt change the fact that sometimes the shot takes an unreal trajectory and one can think 'I couldnt do that if I tried in a real game'.

However, Im surprised the thread starter thinks its a disaster or prefers 07 to 08.
