Turkey is Pakistan's closest ally and friend after China, I've plenty of hard working Turkish friends and I admire their support and love for Pakistan. One of the reasons Turks told me about this is only Muslims from sub-continent were against the breakup of Ottoman Empire unlike Arabs who attacked Turks from the South to destabilize Turkish government during First World War. I personally hope that Turkey one day will join European union; this will help their economy and Pakistan through Turkey can access European markets and Turkey can access warm waters via our Gawadar port. Btw, word "Urdu" is also Turkish, long live Pakistan-Turkey friendship....

With no offense to my turkish friends, Turkey is not ready to join the EU.

They have yet to abolish the death penalty, which is something that can be done overnight if they wanted to do it.

good luck to them but they are really far behind the rest of the pack economically speaking.
