I didn't want to have a facebook, but one day someone invited me to make one, so I opened it and suddenly all the hot girls I ever knew from around the world popped up. People I hadn't heard from in years, so it's a nice tool. Gets kind of annoying, though. I also have the sucky spanish alternative: tuenti.

Barely use my phone for anything, much less texts.

Well done on not having a job yet getting consistent internet access, though.

like its been said, its defenetely good to stay in touch and know whats up with people every now and then. Defenetely not addicted to it though...

I do actually think its pretty god damn absurd how some people "chat" through their Facebook "walls". I mean, they COULD call each other or write an sms right???? Sometimes it becomes some sort of popularity contest (a pretty stupid one if you aske me..)


oh and... you people don't have cell phones? how the **** do you live???? There are times i can send over 500 SMS in one single day.

I have a Facebook, but I made it when you had to sign up with a college e-mail address. I made it to talk to some hot chick or some ****. I forget. I forgot my e-mail address, since I never actually used it, so there died my page. I resurrected it about six months ago. But I never do anything on it, and annoying people that I rarely talked to in high school add me as friends and send me stupid quizzes. I'm not that into social networking sites I guess.

I live on my damn phone, though. It has everything (even porn videos!), and it gets me through my easy ass job. All I do is text; I hate talking to people on the phone unless the call is under 30 seconds, and I have a tendency to not be able to focus on a conversation on the phone. Texts are perfect for me.

I don't have a Myspace/Facebook page, I've never tweeted, never sent a txt msg and I don't have a cell phone. Beat that. (I do use Skype and email to communicate with friends/family, but very rarely.)

I'm pretty reclusive. Which is unfortunate, because it's only cool to be reclusive if you're a genius. But if you're in your mid-20's, you've never had a job and you're not homeless, you may well be a genius.

Work does indeed suck. My colleagues in the PhD program at UIUC are here because they want to become college professors. I'm here because I don't want to get a job.

Man, you don't have a clue about the number of half naked Romanian chicks who offer to be my hi5 friends!! I now have this mental image of your country where all women in Romania are skunky hoes. Hope I'm right, man, hope I'm right...

I have all that junk but am not that phased by them. Obviously was sort of forced into it by a good number of friends. (I figured that by joining hi5 and facebook the spam would end...)

It's a tad sad to see all those teens posting semi-naked pics on their hi5s, in hopes of attracting anyone decent... I'm so glad to be a child of the late 70s...
Btw, I've dated 2 chicks whom I met through hi5, and both were borderline psycopaths. Both of them contacted me (I should have known better). Was just a creepy experience overall...


I'll give hi5 & facebook this, though: it's a nice tool to keep track of past acquaitances, especially if you've worked in so many different places as I have.

As for mobile phone, text messaging, etc., only use it when I actually have to say something important to someone, which is not that often.
