Advice needed! Since now I'm moved to RB I want to know which boots fit me the best. I am crossing the balls a lot and I usually curve them (effect or spin, call it however you want) and I want to know which boots are the best for that kind of crosses. I'm not so agile so the weight of the boots won't matter that much. I only saw that with the AZT90 III you can take some nice curved shots but I wanted to know your opinions.

Thanks.

boots dont matter, as long as you know how to do it, any boot will do :taz:

I heard, remember, I said I heard, that the Predators give more curl to the ball.
I meant true curl like Ronaldinho (awesome goals wearing AZT90), Ze Roberto, Maniche, Figo or Roberto Carlos, not like Beckham, I think that's bending. But I think you're right about the Predators, I think you can hit it with a bit of spin like Rui Costa :p. But he's the only one that comes to my mind from Adidas.

to the both of you

the F50 and Vapour series are for forwards and wing/very offence-minded flankers, also you need to be quick and fast otherwise the boot will not appeal to your style of play.

the Total 90, the Tiempo and Predator series are generally for players other than the F50 and Vapour series. these players are not so fast but they are very technically correct. if not then the boot will not appeal to your style of play.

if your wondering about Puma, well IMO there's no real way to categorise the major puma boots, they can basically play anywhere but if i had to then the King is actually lighter than the F50+ so that would probably be you winger/forward boot and the cellorator would fill the rest.

hope that it helps........

It did, I'm not fast at all, quite slow sometimes, so I guess I'll have some Air Zoom Total 90 III :p. Can you post some pictures of the new colorways, please? And yes, that helped me a lot (Y).

^h ewill benefit with the side lacing. personally i would tell you to get the preds because it really does put more curl on your shot and its more of a snug fit, but then again getting AZT90 III is also a good choice because it still allows you to curl it well while having a thin boot. you cant go wrong with both

the boots dont give u any spin/curl whatever, its you who decides that. If you are relying on your boots then thats sad, go practice, and then you can do it with whatever shoe u want.

Well I just thought some boots might give you an advantage in crosses. I won't get the Legends or the Predators, so I think I'll get the white/black or the plain black AZT90 III. But Puma or F50+ might be an option too.
But, thank you for your advices.

My advice to you would be don't spend allot of money on one pair of boots. Buy two cheaper pairs. A pair for FG & a pair for SG. Then you can change your footwear depending on the weather and state of the pitch.

At the moment, with the new season starting, I'm thinking of buying some Total 90 III's FG, I've already got some preads with studs and my current FGs (Total 90 II) really suck because the insole slips about all over the place.

its not true. when i wear my total 90 ii's i can curl it very well because of the clean surface in the place that straight laces should be, but isnt. but when i use my shudohs when i try to curl i cant do it good enough because of the laces so i dont curl with shudohs.

Really?!?!? Funnily, with every boot I use, as long as I strike the ball on the side, IT CURLS!! Is there a secret?!

^it does for me too, but its much easier if it has a clean surface, hence the side-lacing

updated the first 3 posts... and heres wat i cudnt fit into it....

when i wore my vapours, i scored so many goals and was definately the fastest man on the pitch, now I know how henry so good. :sb9: please with that crap. Although I will say with my f50+'s i do get a better strike on the ball, becuase of the flat surface, but thats it.

vapors is a different story... thats absolutely bollox... it may b more comfortable, but it doesnt affect u that much. but with, for example, side-lacing, its much easier to curl the ball and put it where u want

if you were talkin about yourself and not being sarcastic then excuse me, but you seem to be contradicting yourself.

you talk about when you had your vapours you were the fastest man on the pitch, well do you think that you would have been any slower wearing any other boot. based on the fact that you mentioned the vapours i'd be led to believe that you do.......
but all that is does is simply bring out your top ability in speed and agility in theory and practically.

the same counts for boots wih an off-centre lace, that in theory they should bring out your best curling ability with a football boot on your feet.
and the predator elements (the rubber stuff) is supposed to do even better, in theory, at first you'd have your personal technical ability and then the elements would create friction which would act as a catalyst to trapping (reducing spin and pace) and curling (increasing spin) on the football.
these things are tested and are effective, whether the effect is minimal or not is not being debated ATM because we cannot prove such things. make a letter to ADIDAS-SALOMON if u wanna find out don't bring down se7en for it......

and you should not be one to criticize if you do/did own a pair of vapours......
unless of course you got them for free.
nike probably spends 10$ max to make a vapor and you buy it for 100$
also there is this term being used around the world and it's called INNOVATION, it's basically breaking new ground with ideas, and you'd use those ideas for the better of the consumer.
nike seems to be allergic to that word.

this make sense. while you have a good ability + suitable boot will enchancement your performance :)
