Which one of these controls the gameplay?

Or is it a combination of the two?

Say I want to make the player speeds more diverse. Do I edit both of them? One of them? If one, which one?

I noticed that the CPU SUBs patch only edits the AI.INI in the config.dat. Whatever that is worth.

Ha ha, is this one of those things that is just a mystery?

If so, I will soldier on and make changes to each separately and then report back which one seems to do the job.

gameplay is edited in ai.ini (in the config.dat and ini.big both have to include the same values) and the cpudiff.ini and the common.ini all these files contain lines with values that can be altered to suit the gameplay to your best liking, I am actualy working on a 2k54EVR gameplay (2005 for ever), based on the Fifa2005 gameplay which includes far more easy tackles, but on the other hand I made the crosses and headers more difficult (standard it was far to easy to score with headers to my liking)

okay, this is interesting. The CPU subs fix that was posted here only adjusts the CPU SUB option in the config.dat. Changes it to do subs = 1. The AI.INI in the INI.BIG still says do subs = 0.

Yet the CPU subs.

I don't get it.

The reason I am trying to figure this out is I added in the addo cpu changes post a few threads down and it turned off my CPU subs. He had the do subs = -1.

I changed it to do subs = 0 and changed it to do subs = 1 and it still elminated CPU subs.

hmmmm......
