Ahmed Elrich signs for Fulham - Aussie views?

Fulham have sealed the capture of highly-rated Australian forward Ahmad Elrich, skysports.com can confirm.

The 24-year-old Australia international trained with Fulham early last month and manager Chris Coleman wasted little time in deciding to pursue a deal.

Elrich is understood to have agreed a three-year deal with the West London outfit, who have struck an accord with the player's current club Busan I’Park.

The former Parramatta Power star was out of contract later this year, so the Koreans have accepted what is believed to be a nominal fee for Elrich.

The move will now be finalised subject to the player receiving a work permit and it is not anticipated that there will be any problems, which will then allow Elrich to join up with his new team-mates for pre-season training next month.

Fulham fans will have an early chance to see what they are getting as Elrich is featuring for Australia against New Zealand in a friendly at Craven Cottage on Thursday evening.

Mate, he's an awesome player first of all, saw him play many times at Parramatta Stadium, i'm glad he's finally in a decent team, he'll be good for Fulham, he'll do a Timmy Cahill. :)

Yea he is a great player, he is abit out of match fitness, he has been without a club for a little while now because of some disagreements with Korean club Busan I’Park.

He came on as a sub for Australia against Iraq not long ago and scored a cracking goal, was pretty mad to see him come on straight away and score.

Yea like Surfy said, i think he will do a Timmy cahill as well :hump:

He's a great talent, pacy and creative.
I think with a good, young and adventurous manager like Coleman to look after him he will do Fulham a world of good. Its bloody great news that Aussies are getting over to Europe and doing well :)
