was digging around on the internet looking for info about this game and saw this... apparently there will be 8 civilizations with certain advantages to choose from and these 6 are confirmed, with 2 more to be announced.

British - This nation begins with more villagers.

Dutch - Have less villagers, but can build a bank to gather more coin (resource which replaces gold)

French - Have special unit, courier, who is a powerful villager. Can also ally with Native Americans more easily.

Germans - Can receive mercenaries without researching a technology. Town Center can generate unique units.

Portuguese - Receive two covered wagons, which can transform into Town Centers.

Spanish - Receives special bonuses from the Home City.

Dunno if this is already common info, but it was new to me anyway..
