AFC Ajax Amsterdam Thread [2006-2007]

Ogararu filled in very good for Stam today when he came on, agressive and attacking and he almost scored as well with a great shot on goal, too bad Timmer had that one but he did real good over all
Don't worry he will get his chance to shine for us but he needs to be patient, don't forget that Zlatan was on the bench for the first season when he joined Ajax and Chivu was a sub as well in the beginning.
If Stam is injured he will get more playingtime for sure and if not.. he will and looking at Steaua you really could need him right about now right

Wednesday against ADO Den Haag in our own ArenA so another 3 points :amika: A taste for when we play against them at home for the KNVB Cup
Ajax wants to buy the Amsterdam ArenA so that they can adjust the stadium and make it a stadium where everyone can see who resides there A J A X.
Everything will be red/white and the stadium gets a new name..probably Rinus Michels stadium or Cruyffdome haha :funny:
Personally I like Rinus Michels Stadium, he is a legend for us and Dutch football and he deserves it

I have the Ajax home kit and it looks fantastic! 
Anyone know a Brazilian player called Lucas???
It seems Ajax scouts watched him this weekend in Brazil and we seem interested in him, he's very young and a great talent according to our scouts.
He plays for Gremio and it seems all systems were green for a transfer to Atletico Madrid but it backfired. Not only our scouts were there to watch the midfielder perform, so were the scouts from Bayern Munich btw.
I never heard of him to tell ya the truth but knowing our scouts he must be good cause they have a nose for talented players just look at the past with Chivu who was a nobody before he came to Ajax, same goes for Zlatan, Maxwell, Trabelsi need I go on :amika:

LOL OMFG OMG!!! LUCAS!!!!!!! OMG!!! lol!!! I bought him with Ajax in FM2006 back in last year when I still played that game, he was 18, a good young AM/DM, played 3 good seasons before I sold him!!! Just got back from the game but we played really poor tonight (:/)
OK We won with 2-0 thanks to goals from Gabri and Sneijder but the match overall was boring really.
A few nice things like the bicycle kicks from Mauro and Klaas Jan but both didn't score.
For me man of the match was Tom de Mul on the rightflank, fantastic play, he accelerates pass defenders easily and his crosses are razorsharp
And Stekelenburg defended our goal real well today cause Den Haag had chances to score but they failed thanks to him and Heitinga who prevented a goal from the goalline
Our defense did OK I guess but sometimes ADO had easy passage and that's not good. Ogararu played a good game with good crosses and attacking play, Heitinga is clearly on his way back and is performing better and better and Vermaelen who came in for Grygera (light injury) did what he had to do, one of the best defenders IMO, anyway on saturday Jaap will be back

Btw Jaap Stam was sitting in between the F-Side which was great, he was talking and laughing and he didn't mind giving autographs and let his picture taken a few times
The atmosphere was good but I was hoping for a better performance, perhaps we save that for the game against Heerenveen this saturday.
