I wanted to run my pes 2008 smoothly with a constant frame rate of 60 fps on high details with resolution at least 1024 * 768 but some of my pc capabilities cannot help, my specs are
Processor 3.4 GHz on foxconn 915 (motherboard) with 2GB ram ‘667’
My vga card is xfx geforce 6600 with 256 ddr2 ram
I think if I changed my vga card this will solve the problem. I read some threads here and someone said that
Ati 1950 GT will work fine. I will see if it is available in my country, another not expensive solutions that I have here are ati 1600 XT and xfx geforce 7600 GS. Please advice with your opinion and recommend for me a suitable powerful VGA card.

The cards you listed wont cut it imo.

Are you going for a AGP card or a PCI-e card ?

If its PCI-e, I suggest you go for either the ATI Radeon 2600XT or Geforce 8600 GT as you are on a budget....If you are willing to spend a bit more, get a Geforce 9600 GT (its a new card). If you have more than 200$ (Canadian) to spend, go for a Geforce 8800 GT :p

If its AGP, then ATI Radeon 1950 Pro is a good one....read the website below :)

thanks for the reply. i need pci e card i i didnt know that ati 1950 is an agp.
i think 8600 GT is suitable for me. In my country i have 8600 GT with 512 ram and 8600 GTS with 256 ram. which is better and do they cause any type of crashes as someone mentioned

no worries mate...have you read the website ?

8600 GT is a nice card and if you are going for it, make sure u go with the 512 MB GDDR3 RAM one...it will play all the games except crysis at high settings with a few set to medium, although your pc is a bit old.

Do they cause crashes ? Well, i havent played the game myself yet so i cant be sure but do some more research...also make sure you have the latest official pc patch from konami and gfx drivers.

cheers
