Adriano threatens to quit Inter

Internazionale's defeat in Friday's Milan derby appears to have brought the simmering row within the Inter camp to a head. Theere is a bitter split between Adriano and, it is alleged, the Argentine faction at Inter. Now the Brazilian striker has threatened to leave and President Giacinto Facchetti confirmed this was a possibility.

“I am an Inter player and have always held the club colours in my heart,” Adriano told ‘Guida al Campionato’ following Good Friday's 1-0 defeat by AC Milan.

“If the fans no longer want me here, then they should say it to my face and I’ll go. I am sick of people putting all the blame on me when we lose, as a team should share the responsibility for success and failure.”

'The Emperor' has been out of form for some time, and has only scored three Serie A goals so far in 2006, against a background of well-publicied personal problems.

Inter fans have turned on the team - particularly heir former hero Adriano - and the Curva Nord at San Siro was left empty during the derby in protest at their Champions League exit at the hands of Villarreal.

Allegedly after that match in Spain, Adriano came to blows with teammate Juan Sebastian Veron.

“Unfortunately, there are difficult moments in life and that is when you find out who your friends are. I have personally gone through a very tough two and a half months. I’m a player who can do absolutely anything if I am smiling and laughing. If I’m not happy, then everything becomes more of a struggle,” explained Adriano.

If the 24-year-old striker had been hoping that Inter would come out in his support, president Facchetti’s comments are hardly a ringing endorsement. They may encourage the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid, who have shown interest in the striker.

Facchetti added: “You have to find happiness within yourself.

“Nobody said that he has to leave, but if the Adriano we all know and love returns, then we’re happy to keep him.”

Inter continues to prove that they have the worst fans of any sport in the world.
Not only that, but arguably the worst management too. Yes Moratti has spent a half billion over the last decade, but to what ends. Absolutely nothing, except for a few Coppa di Italias. 'Inter Dumbasses' really hits it on the head. They need a diciplinarian, and they get a players coach. They have a clear locker room division, so they buy more Argentines. Now, they cant win and they sell their striker that has lost form. This is just costly ignorance and idiocy in action.

Moratti, Fachetti, and Mancini are all crazy to let that Argentine horsesh*t fly. Come to Chelsea, Adriano, and play for a real coach. He will pull a Cannavaro and Moratti will get ill watching it
