so how much time does it take to save energy in your mind ? 1 , 2, 3 days? a week?; didnt manchester had a game with portsmouth and having 2 complete days rest before they trash roma and may i mention they had almost the exact same lineup.
sorry but i also saw the game and ronaldo didnt look tired, its a poor excuse, he got double coverage, he tried but he just couldnt it almost looked as he was scared sometimes, its too conceited to think if ronaldo had many days rested he would own the defense; ronaldo simply got outnumber and outplayed.
besides how do you know ancelotti didnt rest kaka, gattuso or seedorf to keep them away from injurys?; you could also say maybe gattuso, kaka and Co. wanted the win more , like that guy mention before, coming fired up to a game isnt only a phisical state, im just the kind of person that thinks the mind is more powerful than any phisical strenght, manchester were mentally ready for the roma game, today they werent, manchester could have won that game even with 2 days rest if they really wanted it to; they have done it before.
on the other issue if milan werent that concerned about the league why would they bring ronaldo on the second part of the season, its no coincidence mate, they knew before they bought him he couldnt play the CL; but they needed someone to help them get into the next one.
i aint denying completely fatigue could be factor on a game ; but this wasnt the case in this game imo; which brings me to quoting the last part of my last post which you fail to quote; in which i mention that in none of the 3 goals manchester indicated tiredness, the first goal was typical football, 2 great passes and a great finishing, and their were huge errors on the second and third goal, this is what i think its obvious dont know why you cant see that either.
Oh, i can see that there were errors on all the goals and not much of tiredness because Vidic didn't cover Kaka on the first one, miskicked his clearance on the second one and Vidic wasn't tired, he wasn't match fit. Infact the United defense wasn't really tired because they are bench players, they have been resting the whole season, while players like Ronaldo, Giggs, Scholes, Rooney and Carrick have been playing 2 games a week for over 2 month now. Yes, United had only 2 days rest before they beat Roma, but that was in England, they beat Milan in England as well. But that was Roma, a team full of players that never been to the quater finals of the CL. All these games add up. You bring Porstmouth in the example, United played Roma with 10 players for an hour, while Porstmouth had a nice long 7 day rest. United were really tired after a long game and a long flight, Pompey was very fresh playing at home. Pompey won because they had more energy and not because they are a better team.
Again about Serie A, Ronaldo wasn't bought 2 weeks ago, now was he? So how is that relevant to the fact that Milan played their reserve team in the last two league games? I don't know how it is in the rest of europe, but in England, when you rest more than half your team, it means that you don't mind losing the game to get your players rested. If Milan can afford to rest 7-8 players for a game, then there is no way that their games are as demanding as United ones. Milan can't move up any further in the standings, no matter if they win or lose, but if United slip up at least a little bit, then all season's hard work will be gone in a second. Milan played with their second team, while United had to comeback from a 2-0 down in a must-win game. Same demands? Obviously not.
I'm not saying that fatigue was the only reason, why Milan won, i wouldn't be saying that they deserved to win otherwise, but it was one of the biggest factors in this game. If you don't see it, after i explain it in the simplest ways possible, then you'll never see it or just always chose to ignore it. If you don't want to believe that resting more than half the team means that they will be fresh, then there is nothing i can do because its the most obvious thing in football. The players that were tired the most are all the attacking players that have been playing 2 games per week for almost 10 weeks in a row. If your attacking players are tired, then how can 1. protect the defense well for 90 minutes (like Gattuso did), 2. run around with the ball, pegging the other team as close to the net as possible? Tired feet can't do that. If you didn't see Ronaldo being tired, then you must not be watching him a lot because his movement off the ball and on the ball was totally different from what it was a few weeks ago. You think he is scared? Scared of what or who? He played in EURO final and World Cup semifinal, single-handedly carring his country there, he has been an instrumental figure this season in EPL a league where defenders kick you much more than in Italy. What was he supposed to be scared of? He was exhausted from all the games played not scared.
If you don't see such an obvious thing as fatigue to why United couldn't mount a decent attack or help the defense out, then you never will. I can't explain it any longer, its there, it was a big factore, the facts are totally there. If you still chose to no acknowledge it and ignore instead, then whatever its your choice, i don't want to think about this game any longer.
NOT implying that you don't know anything, but any person that knows something about football, would easily see, how much of a factor fatigue was in this game.
