You guys should've put the tie to bed in the first half. United weren't at their best by a long shot. Three things that changed the match.

1. Antonini's sudden injury during United's attack for the equaliser. Milan were playing with a man down, without a left-back and Fletcher exploited that for the cross. The rest was Scholesy's shin.

2. The equaliser damaged Milan. Because from the match I think we could say that Milan is a sort of team that plays best when its on top of its opposition. Utd were being outplayed and making all sorts of errors before the equaliser. Chances were coming aplenty for Milan, but they didn't punish United.

3. The introduction of Favalli for Milan, and Valencia for Utd. Bringing on Favalli(38) to play against Nani/Valencia is suicidal. Utd's 2nd goal was a clear example.
The 3rd goal came when Milan weren't even bothered about their defensive line. Rooney sneaked in very easily. Usually its a full-back's job to track the run of the player coming in behind.

I thought Thiago Silva had a great game. The only for Milan to have a chance in OT, is to get Borriello back fit, Antonini fit(or just about anyone else).

United fans might think its all done and dusted, but I think if they watched the whole match its clear that Milan still have a decent chance of scoring goals at OT. United's midfield and defense link was abysmal. Evans had a nightmare, assuming Vidic won't be up for the 2nd leg, you guys have a decent chance to exploit that.

He was fit to play against Milan but did not feel ready to play. He is available now. He's probably gonna play in the EPL against Everton this week and against Milan as well. So finally a Vidic-Ferdinand defence after so long (4 months?).

The thing bothering me the most is midfield... With Carrick suspended we have only Fletcher, Scholes and Gibson left with Anderson dumped to the reserves. I hope Ferguson calls back Anderson for that game... Gibson doesn't have the experience for such a game.

I saw many highlights from the first leg against United, Milan should have won it to be quite honest, they were unlucky at some times. Second leg is going to be tough, but both teams will struggle.
