Udinese's Jankulovski to join Milan
MILAN, May 29 (Reuters) - Udinese coach Luciano Spalletti says his Czech international defender Marek Jankulovski is to join Champions League runners up AC Milan.

'Yes, Jankulovski is Milan's. That is what I have been told,' Spalletti told Italy's Sky Sport television on Sunday.

Udinese drew 1-1 with Milan on Sunday, a result which earned them a fourth-place finish in Serie A and a place in the qualifying round of the Champions League for the first time.

Jankulovski, who missed the game through injury, has been widely expected to leave the club at the end of this season, with Milan and champions Juventus both reported to be interested.

A member of the Czech team who reached the semi-finals of Euro 2004, Jankulovski can operate at left back or in midfield.

A spokesman for Milan declined to comment on Spalletti's remarks.

On Friday Milan made their first signing since their Champions League defeat on penalties to Liverpool when they brought in Swiss midfielder Johann Vogel on a free transfer from PSV Eindhoven.

With the absence of Kaladze (perhaps :() he'll probably stay left back, second to Maldini. In that case, I hope to see Serginho get more starts in replace of Seedorf at Left Mid. There are two options I guess, Ancelotti could either -- drop Stam, move Maldini to the center and play Jankulovski on the left, or, Jankulovski takes Seedorfs place all together.

lot of transfer talk lately surrounding Milan:

-Depor want Dhorasoo on loan, PSG want him as well

-rumours claiming JDT's moving to Depor; he rejected these reports

-Parma now asking for 35M euros for Gilagol, Milan have bid 25M while Chelski have offered 43M, but Gilardino has stated his #1 preference is to Milan... Roman also trying to lure him to Chelsea with a 5-year, 35M EURO contract

-talks are ongoing with Chelsea over the transfers or Crespo and Kaladze

-also remember reading something about Chelsea wanting Kaka involved in the Crespo transfer... Milan laughed at this (H)

Milan In For Ljungberg

The Rossoneri are ready to sign the Swedish winger.
Following the incoming transfers of Johann Vogel and Marek Jankulovksi, Milan are close to sign another high profile midfielder: Frederik Ljungberg.

The Arsenal player is seen as the ideal right winger for the Rossoneri thanks to his speed and technical qualities. The transfer could be eased by the fact that recently Ljunberg declared that he will not renew his contract with the London-based club.

In the meantime, Milan are also set to complete the transfer of Alberto Gilardino from Parma, but the announcement will only be made after the 20th of June, following the relegation playoff between the Gialloblu and Bologna.

Kaladze claims Chelsea deal
by Paul Higham - created on 8 Jun 2005

Kakha Kaladze claims that he has agreed to join Chelsea from Italian giants Milan.

The Georgia international is seemingly on his way to Stamford Bridge after becoming unhappy with his lack of regular action in Milan.

Blues supreme Peter Kenyon is in Italy talking with Milan about Hernan Crespo's future, along with the Kaladze transfer.

Kaladze now says that he has agreed on a deal to join Jose Mourinho's side, with just a transfer fee to be decided between the two parties.

"I have agreed everything with the Chelsea management," said Kaladze.

"Now it is necessary to wait for them to reach an agreement with AC Milan and I think I could become a Chelsea player next week.

"Last season I spent a lot of time on the bench and I do not want that with any team.

"With AC Milan I have won many trophies, now it would be desirable to make it with Chelsea.

"It's my fifth year in Milan and I have a lot of friends here. I have got used to it but I would like a change of city and London is probably the main city in Europe at the moment.

"It has been quite a journey - I have moved from Tbilisi to (Dynamo) Kiev to Milan and now to London."

Kaladze says that he is ready to face competition for his place at big-spending Chelsea, with his versatility a key factor to getting a game.

"I am self-assured even if there will certainly be competition for places in Chelsea.

"It was not the same at AC Milan where there is a structure that dictates whether you will play or not.

"I am captain of the Georgia national team and this arrangement did not suit me and I wish to achieve more which is another reason to move to Chelsea.

"The Chelsea boss has told me that he sees me as a left-sided defender but he knows I can also play in the centre."

Kaladze believes that Milan's desire to keep Crespo at San Siro led to them agreeing to let him leave.

"When Chelsea made their bid to AC Milan they did not wish to sell me and offered me a new deal.

"I am not in the team and have to sit on the bench and I refused to stay. I don't think Milan can keep hold of me and if they do not let me go then in six months time I could go for nothing.

"They won't keep a player who does not want to stay and Milan want to keep Crespo as well who is a Chelsea player."
