Well, the second season is always the hard part in Italy, after you get well known and you get special marking. He managed like, 10 goals or so and a few assists, not too shabby.

Unlike Seedorf, that was pish the whole year. Thank god he's benched now. (H)

Some more news in a Romanian sports newspaper (reliable source) that Berlusconi is willing to give up Cicinho for Chivu. It says that he will have a meeting with Milan manager Ancelotti and talk about the priorities for the new season and apparently grabbing Chivu is one of the top things on his mind. Thoughts?

I prefer Cicinho, we need a new rightback, and he's a good player. Plus Chivu has the injury problems we all know. He's a great defender though. What bugs me is his fitness, so i would go with Cicinho. Cafú cant keep with the fast wingers the whole game anymore and having someone young as a replacement would be good.

you actually talk about fitness? :D

Milan Lab :read:

Actually part of that article is true. Berlu invited Carlo to his house in Sardinia for dinner I think and to discuss "matters related to the team".

At the same time, a Milan official is in Brazil to wrap up the Cicinho deal.

31st of August is about a week away. I can assure you at least ONE player will come and join us.. :lui:

and hi Grunger :ewan:

honestly guy, Milan is stacked as it is. Buying any more players would be greedy.

Maldini has injury problems dude, thats why Chivu could be on the way.

Cicinho, well, Cafu got no back up now.. Of course we can give Marzoratti a chance but.. (6)

Stam, Kaladze and Costacurta as backups for CB, I think theyll be fine.

Maybe theres some lack of depth behind Cafu with Simic's injury problems, but Cafu never gets hurt and Kaladze is so versatile Im sure hed have no trouble playing there. Stam looked alright for Lazio at RB as well.

So its all but official that Milan are going to get Cicihno? Wow, the Man United thread is going to hit the panic button now (H)

Makes you wonder that if Colocinni hadve been kept, Milan wouldve been set in the CB spot for another decade...

Edit: I remember Oddo to Milan being a "done deal" at around the same time as Jankulovski's transfer. Does anyone remember that speculation, as that seemed a pretty decent option for RB cover
