i for one can't really pinpoint why Arsenal totally outplayed us.

I would have to say the defence looks old against the Arsenal youngsters, so guess that it where the most changes are needed. A defnsive brain is all very well but it needs som epace at some point to get out of trouble.

Maldini may postpone retirement for a season

MILAN, March 6 (Reuters) - Paolo Maldini may reconsider his decision to retire at the end of the season, the AC Milan captain said on Thursday.

'I'm being pushed to play another year. Three months ago I was very unfit but now I am better,' the 39-year-old defender told Sky television. 'I like this sport, I like training.'

Milan's elimination by Arsenal in Tuesday's Champions League last 16 tie had looked like Maldini's last European match.

The one-club man, one of Milan's few good players on Tuesday, had been desperate to play in a record ninth European Cup final and pick up a sixth winners' medal.

Club president Silvio Berlusconi and chief executive Adriano Galliani want him to play another season and Maldini, who started his Milan career in 1985, is tempted.

'(They) are pushing me to continue for another year. We will see,' he said.

great news for Milan fans but they will need to buy younger players or promote players from their youth academy, Maldini's probably only considering, it isn't definite. But they have to act fast if they are to have high ambitions next season.

I would like to see Maldini continue for another season, but we depsperatley need a youngster to push him for his place. Get someone in quick for Maldini to pass on as much knowledge as possible before he does hang up his boots for good

Maldini was our best player against Arsenal, even going forward. the man plays like he's 25 years old when the time calls for it, but his teammates let him down. I wouldn't mind seeing him for another season if he were to come off the bench more often than he starts, because his influence is indispensable.

As long as we sign another guy for Maldini's place instead of relying on him for the entire season (and i dont doubt that), its fine. And Pato scoring again, what a player.

Actually this situation might end up benefiting us (the fans), cause i think now berlusconi will finally understand that he needs to cough up some dough for the club, i don't think about radical changes but, zambrotta, drogba, new keeper and maybe some young defenders and midfielders could come in the summer. At least i hope so
