About scoring goals ...

hi guys ...

i had played FIFA 2004 for over a month now ... but still find scoring goals a bit hard ... and when i did it's quite a satisfaction ...

here's what happened in my frist season for Ox. Utd. (still in progress as i played other clubs as well) ... i am top of the league ... but the goals i scored is the lowest among the league ...

why? anyone have any suggestion? Thanks ...

hey that funny I play also with Oxford i'm even in the premier league but i have the same problem as you

i played a season with AC Milan at World Class. I won the league by 6 points, scored less than half of nr 2 (Inter), and was the lowest-scoring team in the league. A lots of my games ended 0-0, and I think I had only 10-20 goals against. Not so funny...

Note: Even if the season was with AC Milan (which I love), my favourite team is Arsenal (which I love even more)

yea (i'm still in Pro) ... i just finish another match with "yet another" 1-0 win ... seldom will i get something like 3-2 or 2-0 ...

still remember those days in FIFA 2003 ... where i score average of 4-6 goals per match in one season (in World Class) ... and usually the season will end with goals of over 100 ...

semi-pro is reely easy and boring but its hard 2 get goals so i cant move up 2 profesional coz i`d nevr win at all

i've been in Oxford... Wonderful city. One of the greatest pleaces in England!

at first i found it hard to score goals. but now my matches with Barcelona finish 3-2 3-1 and even 4-1.
All you have to do is have possesion of the ball during the match (i ussualy finish each game with 65-70%) Use a 4-4-2 formation (the easiest to move the ball around) when you're in front of goal at about 25mts, shoot to the second post, it ussually goes in. Because of this strategy my goal leaders are ussualy centre midfielders.
The other way to score goals is with corner kicks. Choose to cross to the second post, then press W (player number 3) and when on the clock in the right botton of the screen there is only a half left, go for the ball. You should score 75% of the time you do this.

i win most of my games 6-0 on 2 mins a half on semi-pro, theres a trick to scoring, i know how to make it go in every time, without cheating, its all to do with ur timing and placement

I do like how much easier it is to score on corner kicks this year. Can you still score from the "D" outside the box on professional and world class? It's practically an automatic goal, along with
1-2's. Still grinding it out in Semi-Pro in FIFA 2004 and playing lots of NBA Live 2004.

hey had this problem a week ago , but now MUCH BETTER

i am playing with chlesea in pro level. I think the key to increasing goals were:
1) made the half length 10 minutes instead of my routine 6 min. it really makeds a difference, and think this is so important if u wanna play a nice scoring match

2) play as in a real match , this is what's cool about fifa2004 - despite the many bugs in it- that is pass pass pass and don't just try to rush to the opponent's goal with 3 or 4 passes , no i mean pass forwards and even pass bqakcwards to ur defence if u can't find a way to break throuight the opponent , just as in real life , and try to figure a way through their medfield and defence

3) try this also, send ur RB or LB sprinting with the ball , the opponent's attacker will run with him , now send ur wing play to run without the ball using Q button , pass the ball to him , he will be inm the wing alone , run a bit then make the cross, not always work ofcourse and not always will the cross be dangerous , just try it

yea ... after playing quite some number of matches ... i'd mastered the way to score goals ...

but the problem is ... most of them were wasted ... as the goalie is quite good in Pro ...
