Well it all depends on what you prefer.

a) Playing 6 rushed games with unpolished gameplay.
b) Playing an already excellent game in PES5/WE9 and waiting for a PES6/WE10 that's polished and optimized for next gen gaming.

Bottom line:EA may release more games, but Konami releases quality.

Yes Nuno i understand what you mean mate, but EA gets alot of money with those games while Konami just sits back and watches how the millions go to EA

6 bad games and sooo much people that buy all SIX!!

And yeah Konami is always quality thats right! :rockman: :rockman:

I could care less how much money EA makes. All that matters to me is that Seabass keeps up the awesome work at Konami. No matter how long it takes him.

But there are still AI and gameplay issues with PES5. Let's not ignore them. Konami still has work to sort out with the game (outside of the whole licensing issues) and to ignore that would be to watch the game stagnate if we don't pressure Konami to get them changed.

I'm sure with the new graphical power at their disposal with the next gen. machines that:
- Slowdown will be non-existent unless they try to do things which again overpush the ability of the machine. Personally I'd rather have a game that runs smooth rather than a few more features which cause me to run in "bullet-time" everytime I get close to the 18 yard area.
- The crowds shoud be back in their full glory and the hardward allows every single member of the crowd to even have their own AI - how scary is that? Each blade of grass will apparently have "memory" and if it's trod on will flatten until it gradually rises again. In wet games, the field will get cut up as it's played on and certain areas will get muddy and extra slippy. Some players will get dirt splattered up them or have player specific grass/mud stains related to what happened to them in the game.

Anyway, before the forum breaks out in collective rampant masturbation at the possibilities of what they can do on these next gen. machines, let's remember that it's a GOOD thing that FIFA will be out first and will have several titles before Konami release theirs because we can see what can be achieved and what Konami can implement. The first FIFA is already looking awesome regardless of what many of you think about the existing gameplay. By their FIFA 07 release we should begin to see what the machines are capable of in terms of graphical features and this other mind-blowing stuff.

Crap! Ever wish you could fall alseep for about a year and then wake up so you don't have to wait for stuff!!!

I think the "flaws" in terms of AI and gameplay will disappear with the next gen machines. I watched a video of an interview with one of the devs of a game called Kameo (or womething like it) in one scene it had 3,000 trolls on a battlefield with about a 1,000 elfs on the other side of a hill ready to do battle!

The main point was the dev said that in the "last gen games" most of the battle was scripted, but with 3 cores in the xbox360 one is used for AI and that ALL 3,000 trolls each had there own AI, something like that was noit possible before...

Now with AI being handled with one of the cores, and being able to have 3,000 trolls with there own AI, I am sure that Konami and I hope EA too, can program 22 players and 4 officals ! Might even have full benchs with the manager out in the tech area shouting and bawling at the ref :)

With the ability to program individual AI, I have no doubt that players will be making runs all around you.. I know I can't wait to see the next gen football games ..

Well im pretty sure EA can programm those 22 players etc.. they did it before and will always do it! I think Konami can too!

Fifa 07 i think will be the game that will take ALOT of the Xbox360, cus technicaly Fifa was always better then PES(correct me if im wrong)...But im sure EA wont get to the (excellent) PES gameplay next year!

What i do hope is that Fifa 07 will be an excellent game so we can enjoy both!! (Fifa 06 is decent though)

:rockman: Konami and EA :rockman:

18 months is great news for 2 reasons.
1. 2 xmas will pass and the 360 price will drop.
2. After 18 months of pes5 the leap will be massive.

I just hope and pray that The Wolf will help provide patches up until then.

Will PES 5 be playable on the 360? I sure hope so

You need the Hard Drive version of the 360 to play xbox games ! And I think, not sure! but it might only be certain xbox game that can be played on the HD version of the xobx360.

All the time. Gears of War and Metal Gear Solid 4 are other games that make me wanna pull a Rip Van Winkle.

I think you would be able to play it since it's a brand new game. I'm hoping to do the same thing. BTW does PES5 have widescreen support???

Some games that will come out for Xbox after release of the 360 may very well already have the emulator on the disk so no need for hardrive, however, since PES5 is coming out before release of the 360 you will need hardrive (if PES5 will be backwrards compatible that is)

The US version comes out in Feburary so I think US fans will be ok.
