Because im new in this forum, i in this week i have read all the opinions of about the FIGFA 2004 and what we are especting, i decided to go back in time to this same moment, but in the release days of FIFA 2003.

It was interesting to read a lot of pages, step by step. First everyone waiting or the demo..... the demo was delayed. A lot of forum users played the demo and they said that it was maginificent. Later, thre were some guys that started to discover the bugs in the demo.

It was sad to read things like:
-"Hey but, all the AI left standing and do nothing"
-"Dont worry, this is the demo, and it will surely be fixed in the final version"

I read in some threads that poster said things like "the ball get atacched to the foot" or "the keeper is a bug" or "i cant curl the ball", and the users, were blind or something like that, because all those bugs were in the game...but instead of debating, they insulted the guy of the post!. And in fact the AI was terrble , but there were some saying that it was the perfect game  ?

I think that everyone was aware of what was happening, but didnt wanted to face the truth......that the game was not good :(

I mean......now we are 12 months from that, exactly in the same position....waiting for the game.

When i bought the FIFA 2003, to tell you the truth, i enjoyed the game, with all its bugs. Then i played the WE6, and i noticed what was happening. I still play FIFA when i have nothing to do.

I didnt lived that frustration as you guys, who were daily in the forum discovering the tons of bugs, and it must be frustrating. I would liked to be here by that time. But well, im here to see the 2004 game.

I cant imagine how sites like Gamespot rated FIFA with "9.1" and scores like that!

This year, the fifa game look very promising, and i just hope that this time the history will not be repeated.

I, like you, was not a part of these forums for the 2003 game. I joined a few months ago actually (pay no attention to my post count, I mainly read. I'll be doing a lot more posting when the game is released). I also hope history will not repeat itself this time 'round. The thing I'm noticing is that we're not being given any solid, bug-free multimedia about the 2004 game. We are only being reassured by guys like Matt Holme and the mods on the official UK FIFA site (guys that have a close affiliation with EA).
People at gamespot who gave FIFA a 9.1 are people who most likely know nothing about the sport and have only played a few matches. This is why I don't take the score they give into consideration (for soccer games).

If the demo plays better than the "Final version" of FIFA 2003, then EA have just might pulled it off. Till then, we can only wait and see.

Carry on.... :D
