9800 Pro + screen tearing

Seems since i got my 9800 pro in the game it looks like the screen is tearing any ideas as to wat this is i turned off vsync but it still happens.

First of all... you say you turned OFF vsync and its still happening. I would figure vsync on would be the first step when you encounter tearing. Secondly, PES4 seemed to work best at 60Hz refresh rate, and I assume WE8I is no different. Try turning VSYNC on and FORCE your refresh rate for your game resolution to 60Hz. In the ATI drivers, go to DISPLAYS, then your MONITOR properties then to refresh rate override, which you should set to 60Hz. I have a 9800se 128mb that I softmod to a 9800 pro, and I dont get any tearing.

did you OC your graphics card?
Try playing at different resolutions and tsee the difference.
Make sure at the ATI Control Panel the V-Sync is set to Always On.
What ver of the Cats are u using?
