75 fps and gameplay still choppy: How is this possible?

I can get about 75 fps playing at 1600 x 1200 ,32 bit, medium detail, but the gameplay still looks very choppy.
Can someone please explain to me how it's possible to get choppy gameplay at that high of a framerate? Anyone else have this problem? I'm using FRAPS and this is the only game I have where this problem is occurring.

if its the demo , try downloading demo rapter and try with slow motion on....awesomely smoother...

I have the same prob (ie 80 fps but stutter making game unplayable "as is")

One cure is to modify the soccer.ini file so that it looks like that :

With these i can play 800x600x32 with quite smooth play. if i use higher rez the game is smooth but in slow motion.

Specs: athlon XP 2000, 512 Mo ram pc2100, GF4 4400 with 40.72 drv, 7200rpm HDD , so i should get something playable without prob.

Hope EA will have a patch out to fix this.

This is a great tip. Thank's. Solved my choppy animation. Smoooth as could be now! Now if i could only get my pass/shoot meter to display.....

I also tried to modify other .ini files but with no better results until now.

There may be something to do with cfg_def.ini and other ini files in \data\cmn

Still searchin', have also tried all levels of FSAA, off inc'd, and anisotropy, with 28.32, 30.82 & 40.72 drivers.

OS is win 98 SE, forgot to mention in last post
