very annoyed by the interview on gamespot, he discusses each format the game will be on apart from the pc.

I'l be pissed off if we get a ps2 port again, not on.

Well, according to certain sources, the Bundesliga got the chop and, more worryingly, edit mode isn't in.

The bloke said 'the xbox 360 will have the best graphics out of the bunch'

Guess that means the pc version will be the same as the ps2  :taz: (N) :s***: :-puke: :X :$ :alex: :alex:

Konami are :s***:

Even the 360 version is a polished port of the PS2 version. The graphics have higher res. but nowhere has any review said the gameplay is any different to the current gen. Obviously the 360 version is a port from the core PS2 engine with slightly improved graphics and so the PC will be no different. We'll have to wait until the first version hits the PS3 before we get any decent ports of the game across to the 360 or PC.

Development has been done on the PC this year and then ported to the 360 and other platforms as seabass has stated!

I would find it strange though if the PC version is a direct port of the ps2, if it's been done on the pc first!

That would be more work in my book!

hmmmm... isn't that normal ? <_< u think next gen means new gameplay ? (Yeah ok for wii :p )
The game seems smoother, cleaner... dunno. yes it's not "OH MY GOD !! THAT S A TRUE MATCH O_O". and fifa neither. and come on Wolf, why do you spit like that on konami on every post ;)
and even if u think PES 6 will be just a tweaked PES 3... come on, u like huh ? :D

Don't worry be happy :lui:

I demand effort from Konami, that's why I rag on them so much. I just think the past couple of years have been very lazy times for them in terms of bringing this game forward. All of the fanboys are like "PES6 rulez", etc. etc. in the usual chavvy can't string a sentence together fashion, but in reality, nobody knows until we play it what the heck it will be like. Maybe they've made significant changes to WE10 (which was just a bugfix to the cock-ups in PES5) and I sincerely hope so. Believe me, I really don't want to be playing FIFA but Konami seem more and more lapse every year. They can never get a solid release date and stick with it which is worrying given the bugs last year's effort came with (no crowd, no weather in cup/league, etc.) and it makes me wonder if they're having the same last minute testing schedule.

When year after year, the majority of forummers highlight major wants such as a fully customizable ML, etc. and Konami do nothing about it then you have to wonder if they only listen to the Asian market who seem to love dog heads, horses heads, etc. more than real crowd chants or realistic stadium banners.

Konami have done more for soccer games than EA who have spent the last 5 years producing crap until this year's effort (and before Butch weighs in with a fanboy comment here, most of the hardcore PES fans who have tried it admit it's definitely a decent effort this year). I just think Konami have sat on their a$$es and not put in the effort since PES4 to bring this game seriously towards a next-gen experience. Until a PS3 version comes out (and we know the 360 version is a stop-gap version, nothing major, a few graphical tweaks) we won't see where Konami are heading with the series. The best thing going forward is for them to abandon the PS2 and XBox versions and concentrate on the new consoles so we can have a relatively level playing field. Basing all of the versions pretty much on the PS2 core engine was a bad idea even last year let alone this year. Basing the engine on a PC version is no good if the average spec. of PC is way below what most of us gamers really have at home.

If PES6 turns out to be a gem then EXCELLENT! If it's a mini-hop forward then we've been sold short. Konami should be raging ahead here not waiting to lick Sony's a$$ and wait for the PS3 before releasing something truly decent.

With no PC demo, that's worrying. How can you not release a demo? With last year's demo being better than the full game perhaps they don't want to repeat that mistake.

Come on Konami, show some freaking commitment to the rest of the world outside of Asia and show you care about your market. You may have a lot of teenage fanboys but eventially, they're fickleness will wear off and like most Chelsea fans, they'll be off to find an alternative once the glitz wears off and there's a serious competitor out there.

So just buy fifa07 for the 360 and stop the bitching!
Really, i've seen the last 2 videos in Xboyde, one for PES6 and one for Fifa07 and i must admit, Fifa looks better and it really looks like gameplay is identicall to PES. Look at the ball, it looks like it has perfect gravity, like in PES, for shure it looks totally different from Fifa07 for PC.
Could it be that EA has nailed it this year on next gen??
I hope so... so Konami can start updating the ****ty graphics PES6 360 seems to have compared to Fifa07 360.

You really don't understand what he said there did you?

He meant PES is the better game, but Konami won't bother to improve it much as they know its the better game. Whereas EA this year have made vast improvement, although still behind PES. Hopefully Konami will realise this, otherwise they'll just be left behind.

Yeah, Konami really seems to have become complacent. Well maybe not if you live in Asia but for Euro and N.America gamers its hard to understand the way they do business.

Call me naive but I do have high hopes for PES6's gameplay though. Maybe a case of third times a charm? First Try PES5: too defensive, too many whistles, lots of annoyances but definitely some progress and improvements wtih collison detection, momentum, etc. Second Try WE10: Way too offensive and easy to dribble, fixed some annoyances. Third Try: PES 6: Balanced, just right? Maybe, well here's hoping anyways.

Of course, cynically I know they won't bother to improve master league, camera angles, the commentating, or add any real atmosphere to the game etc etc...

And as for FIFA I agree with Wolf, any non-fanboy footy gamer has to admit that they made some real strides forward this year gameplay-wise. Not PES level yet though. I've heard the 360 version will be the one too watch. For some reason EA likes to throw all their effort into one platform with the others getting nerfed or making little improvement over last years version. The NHL series this year quickly comes to mind as an example with the 360 version getting the skill-stick which is pretty awesome but all the other versions getting nothing new at all.

I really hope fifa will surpass pes' gameplay next year. Because i am fet up playing with aged graphics. When you look at fifa07 and compare it with pes6, than fifa is clearly the realistic looking one. The animations are just better, especially running.
Pes looks, i repeat looks, arcadey if you compare it too fifa.
EA has the resources too surpass konami in every aspect. They have now seen the light and are progressing quick to get there.

You can also see the linesmen running up and down the side of the pitch now

sweet lord ! This is an improvement, yo ! (Y)(Y)(Y)
I've been waiting for this since PS2 format, but never been implemented.

I hope Konami will do the same thing to a PS3 format. :)

I don't care if the PC graphics aren't like the 360s or they are like the PS2 version, Ive got FIFA07 on my PC and the frame rate stinks , camera swing ball flight and thats with a fix file in and my PC set to MED graphics and a res of 800x600. And I'll tell you at med graphics and 800x600, the hair on some players look like see through wigs sitting just above the head ..

P4 2Ghz , 80Gb Seagate HD with 20GB freespace, 1Gb DDR, GF6600GT 128mb and if I go above 800x600 and med graphics which are horrid looking , I get terrible Frates..

I don't want PES6 to be the same ... I read over on FIFA07 that one guy had slow down frame rate problems and he had 2 GF9500s in SLI ..All this fancy next gen lighting and shaders and what not ! You will either have to get a 360 or PS3 to see games run the way they are supposed to look or in my case get a New PC which even as a build would cost well over £1000.

So wait... weren't we told "the PS2 has reached it's limits" like two years ago? and now they have linesmen walking around AND fixed the crowd problem?

:kader:

I agree with Wolff BTW, that last year's demo was better than the game proper. I can't put my finger on it what it was.

The article is for the 360 version not the PS2 though I think this year the crowd is back for even for the PS2 but I doubt it will have linesman.

I'm quite pleased with the apparent way the pitch will deteriorate during the season. Hopefully they can get Stamford Bridge's beach right. That and the fact that, at long last, conditions are variable. So, like F1 games of years gone by, the clouds can gather and it can start chucking it down.

Now, if only they could sneak in the ageing players they couldn't impliment in PES5.
