It's pure NEXT GEN comedy really ...
I claimed the same thing as Ric from day 1 this demo hit the marketplace. There are obvious patterns that you can use to break the defence and what is even worse is that there are "sweet spots" from which you score no matter what.LuvPES said:Ooooooooooooo...the brilliant one, by the way did you take "passing assistance" off, brainiac? if you said you did, then your lying
You know it kills me how many people in here criticize the thru ball, all EA has to do is lower the passing power because in winning eleven when you try the thru ball, the power behind it is very weak and the AI defenders intercept it, because I guantee you if WE had the same passing power of FIFA you can do thru balls in WE all day, any soccer game for that matter.
It's a good game, just enjoy it

If you shoot from that half circle, right outside the box, you'll score in at least 90% of chances... World Class...
Passing assistance does make things BIT "harder" or in the other words, more annoying, nothing else. If it did feel more realistic by switching passing assistance off then I'd give EA some credit, but this is plain garbage.
Hey Ric, I read your other thread and just to give you a quick heads up with PES6 on 360... you might wanna keep your money in your wallet...
- There is no editing except editing players...
- Only 8 stadia are in the game...
- There is a slowdown after corners and whenever there are lots of players on the screen
- Gameplay is exactly the same as current gen
- There is a slight delay with first touch; players pause for a half a sec. when they receive the ball etc....
There's more but can't remember now... I haven't played it but a good friend of mine did and it seems like it is shocking...

I see no patterns, the AI is downright relentless at times, the sweet spot I do agree about and that's where I feel sliders will come into play.
I think this game is awesome

If any of you had bothered to read anything before going off on one, you'd know that the demo available on the marketplace is from E3 ... which would make it a very early build.
Now, it has been said on multiple occasions that the build available at X06 was about a million times better and a lot of the 'flaws' were fixed.
All I can say now is, rent the final game before deciding on wether or not you will go back to your beloved PES(which I think you will, despite the fact that next-gen PES has been proven to be one of the worst PES titles to date ... but no, you will praise it to high heavens like the little fanboy you are).
Miki23 said:Noone here makes any final judgement nor purchase decisions based on a demo... that is just your perception...
It is ridiculous how easy it is for people to slap you with the PES fanboy sticker if you say something bad about Fifa and vice versa...
All I see in this thread is a discussion on a reality of the state of the demo... it has flaws that need to be addressed. We do not have a final game and demo is all we can "bash" about. The purpose of the demo is to give us a flavour of what to expect from a final product. If that flavour is bad, then it should be spoken out like we did...
BTW, the guy that revealed that this demo is E3 build is actually me as I had a priviledge to be in EA VIP room @ E3. I also had the opportunity to attend the X06 and the demo at X06 is improved one... I haven't played it but from what I have seen it plays better than the demo we have, so I'm happy that some things have been eliminated... my fear is that the major ones will remain.
I'll get both PES and Fifa this year as I have been doing for the past 8 years and you guys can continue your fanboyish ignorance... I love football and I'll play it in any form...
P.S. Please re-read my first post about PES6 then restate your comments in regards to it because they make little sense...

So when EA claimed that this new engine is completely unpredictable; completely free and attributes driven; you never know what is going to happen next; ball physics are now a separate entity and the ball is not animation driven anymore; etc etc etc... it all falls in the water now because if there are sweet spots, that means that ball IS animation driven sometimes... There are patterns in gameplay, so the game is not unpredictable, it is scripted...
More time I spend with this demo, more disappointed I get... I killed at least 5h playing the demo since it came out and quite frankly even on World Class I can score 4 - 5 goals with such an ease that is not even funny. And that's just in 5 min one half demo... If this stays the same in final version I can see myself scoring 10+ goals per match... very "realistic"...
And I disagree that sliders will do anything... And if they do we shouldn't have to adjust anything with the finished game at the first place... difficulty settings should do these things for us. It's a lame job by EA as usual if that is the case.
Even you admit that the game is sloppy at times and that there are sweet spots...
I meant, real life games are sloppy at times during the game
