I have the Franz Ferdinand album, it's not bad. Scissor Sisters suck though and Snow Patrol are just sh!t. Best album so far this year is 'Morissey: You are the Quarry'

I've got the Franz Ferdinand One(Y)

My mum has the scissors sisters one(N)

Snow patrol are okay but I wouldn't buy their album. Their songs tend to get very boring very quickly IMO

That Radiohead album is worth buying - not as good as Hail to the Theif or OK Computer but still damn good. If you like Radiohead, you should check out The Beta Band.

Aye, I pondered getting Heroes to Zeros a while back. Some of the songs have grown on me. I need a copy of The Bends, too.

Kid A's just one of those nice albums that's tied together well. Amnesiac was a bit... iffy.

All the tracks from both Kid A and Amnesiac were recorded at the same time and in the same sessions, before being split onto two different CDs, so why Kid A is generally better I don't know (although some of the stuff on Amnesiac is top-notch)

I think it's just because Kid A has a nice kind of ambience about it. The fact that it opens with 'Everything in it's Right Place' kinda sums it all up. It all seems to fit. Amnesiac has some stunning singles from it but some duff tracks let it down. Kid A seems like Amnesiac's slightly cheerier brother.

I still find Kid A and Amnesiac a bit wishy-washy compared to the earlier albums - not nearly as powerful.

The Beta Band are a great 'light relief' from Radiohead, they have a comic element which means you can listen to them without getting quite as depressed, even if the music is not as powerful.
