Is it me, or do most people play 3 defenders? Due to this (if it is true) i decided to try and exploit this using side midfielders and 3 strikers. Do you think this will work?

Mutt is right, you're gonna get totally bollocked. 3 defenders is the sensible option, i usually play a DM just in front of them as well.

You'll still lose the midfield battle and therefore most likely the match as well.

Maybe put #3 and #16 in front of the defence and see how that looks.

GK: Keeping 6, PlayIntel 3
DLC: Tackling 6, BallC 2
DC: Speed 3, Stamina 3, Tackling 6
DRC: Tackling 6, Header 3, Passing 2
DMRC: Passing 5, Tackling 5, Stamina 3, PlayIntel 2
DMLC: Tackling 6, Speed 3, Passing 2
SML: Shooting 5, Cross Ball 3, BallC 2
OM: Speed 4, Stamina 5, Passing 4, Shooting 5, Header 3, BallC 5, Tackling 3, Cross Ball 3, Set Plays 3
FRC: Speed 5, Stamina 4, BallC 3
SC: Header 6
