so funny seeing all the bayern fans screaming luck. Bayern players sucked at finishing, there is no luck factor in that, just the lame factor of your players.

Congrats Chelsea. If we make an overall balance, you have to admit that Chelsea deserves to go through. If Bayern had two Pizarros...clearly a better player than Maakay maybe they could have had another outcome. Although Chelsea ended up achieving their objectives, i don´t think that putting Huth as right back was a good choice. Zé Roberto made a fool out of him and if he was capable of making better crosses (or if Maakay actually did something), Chelsea could have been in trouble. Anyways Mourinho continues his 3rd consecutive year without being eliminated in european competitions, let us see if he can orquestrate another victorious campaign.
Oh i almost forgot, Joe Cole   and Ballack :nape: :nape: (You can´t miss so many chances in such a crucial match).

well Chelsea it was fun having bayern go up against u. God why didn't they start Scholl. Bayern need a new CB, Let juvey have Kovac, can;t wait to we get LAHM and intill Gorlitz recovers from the injury our attack is good just we need someone like Scholl but younger

Goodjob Chelsea and goodluck

Im sure your woes at the back, if thats where you think they are will be cleaned up in no time. Your team was absolutely class and showed in teh 90+4 that they wouldnt die even when any other team would have quit. To be the best, you have to beat the best, and I consider beating Bayern Munich, with perhaps the best European pedigree of the last 10 years, beting the best for sure. Now finish off Shalke in the domestic league! (Y)

Can't wait for Milan-Chelsea in the final. Will be one HELL of a match. :rockman:

Both teams will deserve it and in all honest I don't see either of them getting booted before hand.

Many thanks man, and likewise, the same goes for you. Matter of fact, you and some of your bayern comrades are some of the most level headed fans on here, it seems. I honestly dont know why Pede was so militant and aggressive about this tie, but i can hardly fault you all for reacting to his provocations and such: I know was it the other way around, i would have been just as pissed, and defended my team too. Anyway, Im only here to talk footy, as Im sure you and the majority of people are, and not to wind people up, kick them when theyre down or go around slandering teams because of one thing or another. Its not worth all that. :D

wow a lot of things could have changed in this game... whata great match... if Ballack scored on his header cleared off the line by Gudjohnson or Huth scored an own goal with that wickedd curve that hit the bar or if drogba didn't score his second or if Joe Cole didn't chase that ball down in the corner to cross it in for the 2nd goal, things would have been different... but, PRops to Chelsea and Bayern.. the game was SO entertaining

I do respect other teams man.....its some fans of other teams that i dont respect......I never attack ,but i will always defend............but anyway Bayern won my respect tonight for sure....they never gave up ,which i fully expected anyway, and that is a quality that English and German teams have always shared and have in common. It was an edge of the seat game and i was on my feet most of the game...it was enthralling to be there. The atmosphere was great.Man those Bayern fans sure can make a lot of noise ,and the banners and flags looked cool.Bayern had a hard task on their hands to eliminate us tonight, considering the score from the first leg,and it must have been difficult to know that you need 3 goals but must not conceed any. That is a big ask.Bayern applied tons of pressure on us and if the finishing would have been better could have had a couple of extra goals. Our defence were generally pretty sound ,although i agree that Huth as a full back is a huge no no.We switched off somewhat a couple of minutes into injury time and paid for that, but i think that was a valuable lesson for us.It only needs 2 players to switch off for a moment for disaster to strike.Hopefully i will not see that happen again this year at least.I feel sorry for Lucio,2 deflections and 2 goals.I dont think anyone can blame him though because it is just instinctive to stick out a leg when defending and it was just bad Bayern luck that it cost them 2 goals.Drogba's goal was perfect timing for us and a perfect header.Just cole and Drogba up....a perfect cross from Joe and a great head by Drog....It was only then that i relaxed......as did a couple of Chelsea players unfortunately.Still we are through thats the important thing for us.I dont think Bayern at the best they can be at this moment and i think we have to think ourselves lucky for that, because otherwise it could have been more difficult for us.Not taking anything away from Chelsea though.....we had a job to do and we did it.Thanx for 2 great legs Bayern........and in the stadium tonight your fans never gave up either....you are a credit to each other.Well tonight i'm staying at a mates house in Munich (he is a Bayern fan),and i'll make my way home tomorrow. There was NO trouble inside or outside the game at all.It was a great atmosphere and the fans were good to each other i'm glad to say. Many Bayern fans shook my hand after the game and wished us luck in the games ahead ......lots of mutual respect...i like that...... :)

Very interesting issue you've brought up. I act quite immature on here sometimes. Maybe it comes from being on the terraces, week in week out? Pede regularly attends games at the Bank, when you're sat there with all the emotion and banter between the two sets of fans, it can be easily emulated on a forum.

wow Pede as i was reading this I figure ur a great guy, i'am sorry for my other actions that may of pissed u off (i don't think i ever said anything bad but who cares)

back to Bayern

I think we should of brought in Scholl and Guerrero as soon as the Second half started Like i told u guys before

0-0 HT bring in the heavy attack, which we did but later in the second half which was a big mistake that costs us but i have a feeling we will be back in the CL next year even a better team with more experience from our young players

(Demchilles, Schjhwihiwjheijijer (H), Guerrero, LAHM, etc)

Pizarro 14.......nah man you never did anything to p.i.ss me off ,it was someone else and i just gotta stop reacting so badly.Sorry mate...i'm not as thick as i appear sometimes.......I think what toon army said is pretty close...being in the stands week in and week out,and the way both sets of fans wind each other up and stuff,i guess those emotions belong at the ground and not in the forums.....so i'm gonna work on that......... :)
Mark was right though....they should have listened to him ...but what can you do when you have an uphill battle,Bayern had to score goals, and they did that but its so difficult to attack so much and keep them out at the other end.I think i noticed a lot more long balls into the area tonight from Bayern.Took a leaf from Chelseas book....if plan A aint working .....go to plan B.It just amazes me how the "purists" of football put down the long ball game when it obviously gets results. We can stroke it around on the floor with the best of them ,so can Bayern, but when you realise that it might be pretty but it aint getting you nowhere, you gotta try something else.I thought when Bayern began dropping those long balls into the area they began to look really dangerous and it was looking like it might pay off for them.At least they were adapting themselves to what was needed and that is good football.I'm not digging Barca out here but, see, thats something they do not do.They play pretty pretty football all the time and when it dont get them anywhere.....they still play pretty pretty football.Man my ears are still ringing from all the noise at the Olympic stadium........ :)
