Make America Great Again

Shifty did you see JJ Watt and Russ Wilson in college? Did you think they'd get to where they are?

They were there well after I was, but yes I watched all of their games. I knew Watt would be special pretty much from the beginning, but he's just a complete athletic freak. He played his Freshman Year at Tight End for Central Michigan and then transferred to Wisconsin. Moved onto the Defensive Line for his RS Sophomore year and was a revelation right away. By the end of his junior year he was unblockable.

Wilson, I loved in college, but didn't know if his smaller physique would allow him to succeed in the NFL. That being said, I did think he deserved a shot, because his accuracy and mobility were great.

I'm still distraught over the 2011 Wisconsin season. JJ Watt declared early for the NFL Draft. 2011 Wisconsin was the season we had Wilson and Montee Ball scored 39 TDs. We lost 2 regular season games: at Michigan State on a Hail Mary, and at Ohio State on what essentially was a Hail Mary. I think we would have beat LSU in the Title Game (they got shut out by Alabama). Watt would have made the difference.

This cat, Ryan Plackemeier, was my middle and high school's starting GK for the soccer team. Had absolutely booming kick. When we were on the middle school soccer team, he scored a goal from his own box. Everybody was just like WTF!

Ended up going to Wake Forest, then played for Seahawks, Redskins, and finally the Bengals before calling it a career.

Cheering for Wake Forest though, that must be rough. (H)

Go Gators. Go Trojans. Go CHARGERS!!!

The Legend
Haha, Wake actually won the ACC Championship and the Orange Bowl in 2006 (H). When you look at the list of ACC champions they just seem so randomly wedged in there between VT, FSU, and Clemson.
