YELLOW CARD: Untrustworthy

Bayern will probably win this. Real will get to the final but the back-to-back jinx is too strong even for them. Although watch out, Ancelotti is like the Gregg Popovich of football, he kind of manages things throughout the season and then is on top form in the playoffs.

Last year we slayed La Bestia Negra, Maybe this year we can put to rest the back-to-back jinx. :alex:

That means the only way is down
Actually you meant the only way from up is down. That rule applies everywhere, and most definitely in the Champions League. Now Real has a chance to prove the fact and all the doubters wrong, and stay up if they win it for the second time in a row, the downfall is imminent at some point, though. Now that is a life and a footballing lesson combined, feel free to cherish it!

Dear God,

I do not ask for much, but could you please let this be true

Barcelona defender Thomas Vermaelen could finally make his debut for the Catalan club in Wednesday's Champions League semifinal first leg at home to Bayern Munich.

he's better than benatia and boateng added together.
Right! Have you even watched Boateng this season to be making such a stupid statement?

you're tracking that I'm just kidding with you constantly on this subject, right?

I did know you were kidding this time, but others unironically criticize Boateng a lot, so I just decided to get in a shot anyway.

Could potentially be more like

Bernat and Rafinha.

Pep overpopulates the midfield with 4 CMs + Muller. Should be interesting.

I expect Lahm to either be the RWB, or to play that RM role he worked against Porto. I do like the idea of trying to crowd Barcelona out of the midfield; Rakitic and Iniesta aren't good enough to dominate the ball against our guys. Going to need a heavy dose of Messi, and bringing him away from goal helps.
