Iraq has been pretty impressive. I can't believe South Kora is still in it though. 
chill dude. i dont care if you bring other events like WC into the discussion, but just full on bashing of other people with the occupation of refs is just plain racist.
i hope you didnt mean anything. and after this post, im disappointed at most of the SG asian/south americans. most of you guys just try to be all cool and act not as your own nation (coughcough Sheva7 although i dont expect anything out of you; keep degrading yourself).

i took your comment as a general labeling that every refs except the Europeans were garbage. isnt that general stereotyping? (even if it may be true)

Costa Rica has two MLS players on its roster: Pablo Brenes (MetroStars) and Eric Scott (Columbus). Neither has had much opportunity to play this season but Brenes looks great.
first of all to Mikey, with all the respect what a bunch of crap you have in your head to say that
do you really think europeans are the best in everything about football ? and to Hyun, i know what you mean, although i think the mayority of the south american (and mexicans) act like we are. I mean most of us like RUSI or me, have either something from argentina, mexico, venezuela or colombian in our sigs, locations or display names. Like i said i get your point, but the word "most" don't fit imo too good.

its not stereotyping, european refs are better than any Asian or south american refs. Just like its a fact that english refs are better than Italian refs, this isnt a bias or stereotyping, its truth. why does that offend any of you? who doesnt notice that at the WC? im not saying european PLAYERS are better (in asias case, they are) but the refs.

For those of you in Canada:
TSN will carry a highlight show of the mens quarterfinals on Saturday at 6PM ET. i dont know the length.
TSN will carry both semi finals in full, one live, the other tape delay after wards.
But for Mikey, he sees all games on his friends satellite.

Forgive my ignorance but i don't exactly see how failing to rise to the defence of Asian refs conveys one's feelings of nationalism or lack thereof. Incase you weren't following the Asia cup last month atleast half a dozen countries got screwed over by some incompetent officials, namely Uzbekistan in their game against Bahrain, Jordan with Japan, Oman against Iran, and all of Japan, Iraq, & Iran when playing China, i'm sure i also left out a few others. Point is its always the same story at the end of every Asian comp, poor reffing is a symptom of an inept & corrupt AFC and the individual soccer federations that it represents. The same could be said of Africa & Sth America. Its never going to change until they start taking their jobs more seriously and act on disciplining guilty refs and players, i know it occasionally happens but never enough.
That's not to say all Asian refs suck or conversely all European refs are great (there ought to be more like Urs Meier :Bow: ).
There were quite a few Asians administering games in the last few World cups and overall they did a good job, and some of the worst decisions had come from European linesmen & referees.
Btw, i believe the guy that started this whole debate isn't even Asian, the ref in the Tunisia-Serbia game is from Tahiti & his linesman from the Cook Islands. i don't even recall seeing them in Oceania games before let alone the Olympics.
