2 matches in 1 day??

2 matches in 2 days is not that unusual in career mode, especially when you have to play in say 1 league and 3 cups. But from time to time, I'll get 2 matches in 1 day. Does anyone get those? I first spotted it by noticing Gerrard is 5X% fatique before a game. And when checking the fixture, the game I'm going to play is scheduled the same day as my last game! Luckily I have a big squad.

The generation of fixtures is somewhat away from perfect I'll say......

Never actually experienced it in my own career, but my son had an instance just a couple of weeks ago playing as Fiorentina (aka Firenze). The computer controlled teams get two matches scheduled on the same day all the time, but the worst I've had so far is a fourth round FA Cup tie on the Saturday followed by the League Cup final on the Sunday (which seems to happen nearly all the time)

Yes, ALL the time. I just had it a few days ago!

And one thing I kind of hate as well, when you rest a player, you expect him to get higher fitness than before. A lot of time, the fitness down-stepped from 9x% to 8X% instead; while a player not being rested being even fitter than before. Weird.........

I get that a lot too.

I don't mind having 2 matches in one day, even when they are big matches, because it gives me a chance to play my weaker players, and makes me play harder. I try to keep tabs on the schedule, and a lot of times I can tell when I have multiple matches, so I'll play a half strength squad for the first game, and a half strength squad for the second. It's not a huge deal, unless you're with a small team that lacks fitness (lower league teams).

I had this a few times in my career, recently it happened in season 15 with Juventus, i had a italian cup semi final the same day as a league game, later on it was the same with the ECC final and Italian cup final, my players were knackered.

also had a strange season when my team was scheduled to play twice in the league cup, i ended up playing my own team in the final, Bradford vs Bradford

Interesting.....that Bradford Bradford thing never happened to me (yet!). But it's somewhat disappointing that they had so many little bugs on it and not even releasing patches to fix them.

I mean, the graphic stuffs are difficult and they are actually not buggy. But dealing with fixtures and matchups, those are really elementary programming and shouldn't really be a problem with the reputation as big as EA. I mean, having the commentator saying "there're only a few more games to go" in early December, or "they are already the champion anyway" when I'm striving for a Champions League spot, are just some silly mistakes that can be very easily avoided by doing the counting right.

It seems that they only test out the gameplay. They need lots of people to sit down and play through career mode.
