I know... put this in the soccer forum....but oh well.

This thread may die in a couple of hours, but oh well, i needed to say this.

After a season of utter brilliance our team won 2nd in the state tournament of minnesota (usa)
PARK CENTER!!

The last team we played (in the metrodome, in minniapolis) was bloomington jefferson. Due to some bad calls (and i'm serious, this guy was tottally biased towards the opposition, the foul count was 23 to 10 against us. and i'm not just saying that, we didn't deserve half of them) bloomington got away with a few close calls inside the box that could have gotten us pk's

We went to overtime and later, penalty shootouts.

we scored,
then they hit the post.
then our player kyle mader (who was crying afterwards) hit the ball over and to the right david beckham style (except that it wasn't nearly as bad)
then the next few for both teams made it,l then some kid from our team shot the ball weakly to the right, and it was saved...
we lost that game... but hey second place isn't bad is it?
i'll be in 10th grade next year and all i've got to say is....

i'll see you lot next year........

i know what your saying....
but i'm so happy to be part of it because i'm only in 9th grade this year and i made varsity.
i'm very proud of my team even if it was only 2nd

i come from a semi- poor school, we only have 50 people trying out for soccer a year
and so to beat teams who have to CUT 150 players because they already have great players means SOO much to me.

i know that you guys may think its crap, but you guys have to walk around in my finely polished predator pulses to know how i feal...

You know what's sad? Brooklyn Park is SO ghetto compared to Elk River. :crazyboy:

our school doesn't have many kids tryout either we had like 30 try out so you had more. Our team barely ever has 9th graders on the team, we have one like once every 5+ years, the last 9th grade varsity player graduated in in the spring and our next potential one will be in 9th grade in 2 yrs so a lot can happen by then.

i remember a time at park center (years ago) when we lost (which was all the time back then) we would litteraly beat the other teams ass.
one time, i think it was maple grove, we ******* chased all the way back to their school!!:crazyboy:

but osseos pretty ghetto too.
do you play for varsity run dmb?

and for clarification bobby, we got a medals and plaques just like the other team(H)

all we had to do is scratch out the second and put a first:crazyboy:

I graduated this year, I'm now in college. I still root for Elk River though, cause I know a lot of the guys on the team. Was it you guys that beat us with that last-minute goal to go to state? I was at that game.

we whooped you guys in the normal season. it was like 4-1 or something.
do you remember playing against us when you were a senior? If you do, i'll bet you remember john mader...
