É inevitável. Tão certo quanto o Brasil é penta, é que a série FIFA irá receber um novo game no próximo, no próximo e também no próximo ano. Não que o país do futebol fique aborrecido, mas, devido ao curto espaço de tempo, nem sempre a continuação traz os atributos necessários para validar a compra de mais um jogo. Mas 2003 promete trazer um novo FIFA... pelo menos é o que garante a Electronic Arts.

Os produtores afirmam que FIFA 2003 não será o 2002 com algumas firulas a mais. A mudança promete ser radical. Para começar, a Electronic Arts deixou de lado a engine que movimentou os jogadores em FIFA 2002 e FIFA World Cup para desenvolver uma nova, que promete corrigir alguns problemas de jogabilidade que irritam os fãs da série.

A principal (e talvez a mais crucial) é a física da bola. A equipe de produção parece ter lido a cartilha das leias de Newton e trabalhou para que a pelota respeite a força dos chutes, vento e atrito com o gramado. O resultado você vê em campo: uma melhora considerável nos passes, dribles e chutes - dependendo, é claro, da perícia do jogador.

A nova engine também dá aos atletas virtuais uma maior contagem de polígonos. Comparado com as edições anteriores, os gráficos dos jogadores estão mais detalhados e você não terá dificuldades em descobrir que Ronaldinho está na área para marcar mais um gol.

E por falar em craques, FIFA 2003 traz para o certame as habilidades e rostos de 10.000 atletas virtuais. Além disso, 450 times estão confirmados, que serão distribuídos nas 19 ligas do jogo.

19 leagues ?! 450 teams, so that leaves around between 45-55 national teams IF the 'rest of the world' included in FIFA 2003.

IF not included, the number of national teams should be in range b/w 100-108 national teams around the world.

I think it´s true dude.
This newspaper (Folha de São Paulo) is one of the best around here in Brazil.

I think they´re telling the true, they even mention that the producers told it will be a new game and not a Fifa 2002 with some new things. I believe in it until someone prove they´re wrong.
