greetings!!!!!
to all of you who dont remember, today exactly 10 years ago, COLOMBIA gave ARGENTINA a big lesson in buenos aires.
the match was to determine which of the two nations will have a direct passport to US world cup 1994, everybody thought that argentina will have no problem to beat colombia, or even tie.
but after a marvelous pass of Carlos "El Pibe" Valderrama, Freddy Rincon started writing the path to what would be one of them most incredible feats in the history of football, that day the world stoped and rendered homage to this great team that gave high hopes to a whole nation hunger of triumph like Colombia.
If you dont remember, Colombia won 5-0 to Argentina in Buenos Aires (estadio monumental de river).
Freddy Rincon scored twice, and so did Faustino "El tino" Asprilla.
The last goal was converted by "El tren" Valencia.
Colombia played great, as a team and the result was this 5-0 that nobody could believe.
I think this day was very important in football history, in fact, the whole stadium stood up and clapped Colombia for about 5 minutes. Can you imagine Argentine's clapping to other team rather than theirs?
I invite you all to remember this date and post whatever you think about it.
