1-2 Passes?

I finally picked up the game yesterday and played some matches to get used to the controls. I haven't played a FIFA title for several years. So, there are some things that i can't figure out how to do and since the instruction manual is pathetic i'd thought i'd ask here.

Is there any way to do 1-2 passes (give and go's)?? Or can anyone recommend a web site that has some information about moves and such? I've looked through the tips and tricks thread and that helped a little bit. Thanks!

Love the game so far by the way!! If i can find a way to do 1-2 passes i'll be in heaven. :D

Using off the ball control?

The manual doesn't say anything about it. I kinda figured out how it worked messing around with it in practice mode, but i couldn't figure out how to select between 1, 2, and 3. All i could do was control #1.

To control the other off the ball players, you have to keep hitting the off the ball control button to cycle through the available players

no, you dont need off the ball to use 1-2.. guy 1 pass to guy 2, press the player run and send guy 1 on a run behind the defender.. pass the ball back.

i find it easy to:
pass it
make the player who's just made the pass to go on a run
then play a through ball
and thats a 1-2!!

Just be very careful, i've been seeing too many people online (and falling victim myself) to trying to do a very quick 1-2 and it registering my L1 player run button and pass back as a combined L1 + pass which instead does a manual through ball pass in the direction you are pointing your Left Analog, which usually leads to the ball being kicked very softly to a defender.
