Starting XI
Showed a good sense of determination to get away with a win there

Zebina is a certified headcase.

Camoranesi, great to have him back and on fire like he was.

That DP chance, I agree that he was stupid for trying the hardest thing, but what a goal it would have been...

For goals, check out http://www.bianconeri.tv/

hmm.....I wonder if that would've gone in on its own if DP didn't advance it into the net with that last touch?

That ball had a weird bounce to it man...i don't know if it would have gone in by itself, but for some reason it didn't look like it would...i'm glad DP secured it though(H)

Del Piero won the Golden Foot award. It's a pretty prestigious career award. Second Juventino to win after Neddy in '04.

03/09/2007 THE WINNER IS... DEL PIERO!

Alessandro Del Piero, the captain of Juventus FC, has won the 2007 GOLDEN FOOT award, the prestigious international career prize awarded by the fans voting on the www.goldenfoot.com web site. Del Piero took the lead since the poll opening (on 15th May last) and, even though his first position has been seriously threatened by Roberto Carlos, he has remained steadily the leader till the end of the poll showing that he is the football fans' favourite, and not only in Italy. The "Bianconeri" number 10, who won the 2006 World Cup with the Italian national selection, got 30,199 votes, Roberto Carlos, the Brazilian player of Fenerbah￧e SK, who, thanks to his Turkish fans' votes struggled with Del Piero for victory till the end and almost got it through an exceptional comeback, finished second (with 29,174 votes). Quite unexpectedly David Beckham finished third (with 24,121 votes), he, thanks to the votes of his American fans, could surpass AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini (with 20,700 votes).

Golden Foot 2007 Winner Alessandro Del Piero: "To win this price is really nice. Golden Foot is a very important prize in the world of professional football. I'm proud to be in a list with champions like Maradona, Platini and Zico, who left their footprint on the Champions Promenade here in Monte-Carlo. For a football player is massive to remain in people's mind for what he does scoring or winning".

The Italian champions has left his footprints on the CHAMPIONS PROMENADE togheter with great football legends as Gerd Müller, Mario Kempes, Paolo Rossi, Romário de Souza Faria and Hristo Stoitchkov.

The poll to elect the 2007 Golden Foot winner has been a big success: this year 144,273 votes against the slightly more than 103,000 votes of the 2006 edition. Most votes came from the following countries in sequence: China, Italy, USA, Turkey, Argentina, Portugal and Brazil.

Former winners:
2003 Baggio
2004 Nedved
2005 Shevchenko
2006 Ronaldo

I think the voters like Serie A, heh.

Bianconeri to borrow Ballack?
Wednesday 5 September, 2007

Juventus are being linked with a sensational loan swoop for unsettled Chelsea star Michael Ballack when the transfer window reopens in January.

The German midfielder’s time at Stamford Bridge seems to be running out after he was excluded from Jose Mourinho’s squad for this season’s Champions League.

Since arriving in London from Bayern Munich, Ballack has struggled to get to grips with English football and has been hampered by an ankle injury that held back his pre-season preparations.

As Mourinho has chosen not to gamble on .Ballack making a swift recovery, the suggestion in the peninsula is that he will spend the second half of the campaign with the Bianconeri, who are lacking depth in midfield.

While such talk is little more than gossip at this stage, sources suggest that Ballack is set for crisis talks with his agent Michael Becker within the next few weeks.

lol vitu that means for real. but just a different way of saying it...

guys i must admit i take back everything i said a few days ago about this team and giving them some time to adjust.

we need someone in the backline. i was listening to the radio and this was the main game. and i was scared coz the crowd for cagliari would rise the commentator would start getting excited.

ive seen the zebina incident thanks to youtube, and id say he is gonna be in some trouble with la lega.

oh and ppl who are anti juve if i dare see anyone say juve still involved with calciopoli you would have to be the most pathetic fans out. juve worked for their goals and thoroughly deserved them playing with heart!

buffon showed us again why he is the number 1 keeper in the world.

btw i saw it on youtube cagliari took the worsed ever indirect free kick. the commentator was saying its the biggest stuffup he has seen in 15 yrs.

There is a commentator in a popular radio show here in the states that keeps playing that drum.. I swear, I wouldn't mind smacking him a few just for those stupid comments.

It's refreshing to see you guys back on top, I am pulling for you to finish high so I hope Juve don't let me down. If you finish on top of INter, then that will be just as sweet.

ooooh! I was watching the game from the corner of my eye and thought that he attacked some heckling bench player from the opposition since the dude that he struck was wearing what looked to be warmup gear or something, man.

Anyway, I hope that the league officials come down on 'em with FURRRYYYY.....I've had an eternal hard-on for the mother****er ever since he viciously assaulted King Recoba with a cheapshot slap to the side of his face that could have seriously damaged his vision 5yrs ago against Roma, man

Goodbye Luciano, black-and-white heart

The opera world is in mourning: tenor Luciano Pavarotti died at 5 am this morning, at his home in Modena. He was 71. The Maestro was an icon of Italy and of music, known all over the world, but he was also a dedicated football fan and his love for Juventus was never a secret. Significantly, he made his last appearance at the Stadium where the Bianconeri play, the Olimpico in Turin, on the 10th of February 2006, when he sang at the Winter Olympics opening ceremony.

Everyone at Juventus joins in the pain of his family and in the world-wide emotion for the Maestro's passing.

----------------------------------------------------

this is sad, the man was the reason why I began to like some operas.
I remember seeing him on an interview with a juventus scarf on his neck... oh well, may he rest in peace.

Sad indeed. They played a couple of seconds of "E Lucevan Le Stelle" before Zaragoza-Juve.

_______________

Boum was playing like Scirea until he pulled something and could be out for weeks.

Rink De Camargo and Dante are Standard de Liège players loaned to us for this game. De Camargo hit the post I think.

Others are Primavera players.

Nocerino got injured also by a tough tackle by that c*nt Luccin.

We needed to buy him last month. For 8-9m € I'd do it. He can play on the right but I see him as a CB. Good player. Saw him at the U-21 tournament and I was impressed. He wasn't that good in the final but the whole team played bad.

some news:

- Zebina was given 4 weeks of suspension for his little act.

- CSKA Moscow are said to have offered 15 million for Giovinco. If its true, screw them.

- Ivanovic will not go to juventus top officials from lokomotiv said. He has a contract with lokomotiv until 2011 and he intends to respect it. No official negociations have started between juve and his current club. As always, its all tuttosport's bullsh¡t
