More Exciting?

Did you look forward to the World Cup more or is the anticipation for the CL to start bigger for you?

This just crossed my mind and I wanted to see if the majority agree with me. Personally I'm more excited for the CL and it doesn't have anything to do with Steaua being part of it. I just think that overall it's a better competition with higher level of play and more exciting match-ups.

really, so hard to say...CL because it's already tomorrow

I'd have to say CL. More games and the matchups are just of higher quality.

world cup definately, so exciting, fans teams etc. and games EVERY day, CL just drags on and on, takes forever and doesnt compare to world cup at all IMO.

A tough choice, but I'd have to say World Cup, coz you have to wait 4 years for it and when it starts its football for 1 month with matches everyday.

Champions League....

CL of course cos India aint takin part in the WC

Neither. Domestic leagues > International leagues for me.

I'd pick WC for me. I feel more relaxed & enjoyable when I watch the WC matches.

CL, yeah, it's all on whether Inter's participating in it. I feel alot of nervous going on around my head every Inter's match in CL. I also ignore CL when Inter are absent/early exit. (sorry, no offense)

so, yeah, WC all the way for me.

Champions League, because every year the team that runs through my veins participates in it, whereas, Bosnia has never made it to the World Cup.

How can there be any question? THE WORLD CUP! You have to wait four years, and then there's matches every single day. Champions League is every year and each team only plays two matches a MONTH. Plus each team has 6 group stage matches, which makes the first match less critical. CL is a better tournament overall, but I'm not giddy about day 1.

I disagree, every match counts and I think that every matchday is critical....for the weaker teams, they fight for each point like crazy hoping to make it to the next stages, whereas, the bigger guns fight to top the group. I agree on the 2 week wait between matchdays though.


EDIT: I disagree with that one point, but I respect your opinion.

India doesn't have a participating team in the CL either. :P

The World Cup. If Russia takes part, of course :fool:

surely CL. it is just simply good.

Champions League. Because NT football, to me, is...well boring.

The World Cup, probably because of the huge scale of the event and the long wait for it.

Surely the CL is more exciting and provides much better quality football. I remember creating a similar thread a couple of years ago and most people disagreed with me for some reason. The long wait is not a reason to justify which is more exciting.

World Cup. You don't have to worry that some corrupt Russian owners buy your players. That's totally ruining club football for me.

Pretty tough decision, the Champions League gets the edge for me.
This is just like the "club vs. national team" kind of thing.
